It's a lovely hotel, only 7-minute walk to the Osaka Train Station. We had a corner room, and it was great to have two windows looking out.  The rooms are spacious for Japan.  The rooftop spa is fantastic and beautiful at night.  Tattoos are allowed, and there is no limit; it’s 100% private for hotel guests (I believe).  The whole hotel is spotless.  If you are checking in, it can be a little confusing because the hotel begins on the 17th floor, so you take the elevators up there from the ground floor.  The views are incredible! If you want to go out anywhere in Osaka on a Friday night, especially around the hotel (which has some great places), you must make a reservation. They book up and will turn you away; it’s 100% reservations only.  For the rest of the days of the week, you can walk into most places, but for any place on the higher end, reservations are the best way.  Also, google seems to leave out a lot of local places; walk around during the day, check places out, and then book.  I’m sure there are more local websites, but I can’t read Japanese, so we had to fumble through.

It was a pleasure staying at this Hotel. We found out when we got there that they have a public bath on the roof top. I ended up doing all my showering and morning routine there.
Junyu the male receptionist was a pleasure to work with.
And no, we never tried their buffets as the prices seemed ridiculous. Just walk downstairs and find something cheaper to eat at.
I would book all my stays at Candeo if I were to visit Japan again. Thank you!

After spending time in Hakone,Kyoto,Tokyo, I still think about my stay in Osaka, Candeo Hotel. I enjoyed the fitness gym, spa access, easy monitoring Laundry system through the TV, and the kindness of the receptionist. They were helpful with everything I had asked. Everything is quite modern, from the toilet functions(the fact they had a seat lifting function) to the TV functions/In room functions. I was able to enjoy my Netflix cast and watch YouTube! Spacious room for 2 large luggage to be opened and pajamas provided. Staying here has exceeded my expectations. The outdoor infinity hot spa was super hot which was really nice to use after a long day of walking. The showers in the pubic baths were very comfortable to use. Great water pressure And the shampoo/body wash was even better than the ones in the room oddly.

Terrible hotel staff!!
Here are so many points.

1.Rude and obnoxious staff member.

2.Not helpful at all had 6 pieces of luggage and they had no one to help me I had to push 2 trolleys of suitcases to the room.
As you can see on the pictures the trolleys had been left outside the room from the day coming to leaving!!

3.They had been sent sumo wrestling tickets under my name and had been told about them 3 months in advance and had refused them when they had arrived to the hotel so 2 days before the event I was told they was on there way back to the office and hopefully coming back in time.
(Luckily the unhelpful staff member was not in and I had a very helpful staff member to get the tickets to me just in time unfortunately did not get her name she was brilliant .. guessing ethnicity of Indian? But she was brilliant on front of house)

4.The member of staff that was rude and obnoxious had was speaking in his own language to other staff members as we stood there and they was laughing to each other.

5.Asked for towels as the room was not done and they asked me to come to the reception? Have they never done house cleaning before? They told me in the end 10 mins I rang 30 mins later and told me to hold .. put the phone down on me.

6.Also all you can hear is sirens all night due to the ambulance station near by.

5 stars service, but not 5 stars standard on some parts

Firstly, their hotel staffs are so friendly and professional when we are check in and check out.  Except one part, they said that each guest could only be receiving one bottle of water, but they have provided me an extra bottle of water when my wife requested it on phone; that's double standard.

In addition, their cleaning staff might need some improvement.  They are missing our hand towers after cleaned up our room.  They still provided us the body towel after we requested on phone.  This is some miscommunication between us and the hotel side.  They might need to improve their listening skill and better to confirm before handed up the phone.

However, they have a great smile and I believed that all the rooms have a wonderful night view,  and their service attitude are still nice to their guests.

Lastly, there is a rule that the car park would be closing at 11pm.  I personally think that's unacceptable as a 5 stars hotel.  And normally we would come back to hotel after midnight, it really caused us a big trouble to find a car parking spot at night under heavy rain.  The hotel side should be earlier to inform their customers who would reserve a car parking spot if the hotel guests have noticed that they would drive the car to the hotel.

In overall, this hotel is deserved to have a 5 stars hotel service quality.
