I’m deeply grateful to have had such an incredible lunch experience at Sushi Tsune. We’ve been traveling around Japan for two weeks, visiting Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, and other cities, and have tried many sushi restaurants along the way. My wife and I both independently came to the same conclusion: this was the best sushi experience we’ve had so far in Japan.

The intimate setting, your meticulous attention to detail, and the outstanding quality of the food were all exceptional. Despite the language barrier, the chef’s warm hospitality and efforts to communicate with us made the experience even more meaningful.

It was a wonderful experience. We came early so we had only the restaurant for us and we had the opportunity to talk with this very nice man. My tea was becoming cold so he gave me an other one hot. I chose this restaurant to try the battera sushi which is a speciality of osaka.

Note for muslims people : I don't know if there is mirin on the rice or not. Same thing for the soja sauce (I asked to do not put sauce on the fish). However the man was very  kind and curious to know more about our religion.

The owner only speaks Japanese but is super nice and helps you with the translator on the cell phone.
The food is spectacular and he is a master of the art of sushi.
Super recommended!

Pressed Sushi was really delicious! The chef is very kind, even though he doesn't understand English. There are no English menus, so if you want to eat here, make sure to translate the menu yourself and already know what to order before going in. Luckily, a kind man who was also eating helped us order since the chef doesn't know any English.

I had an exceptional meal and a great, memorable experience here. I was lucky to stumble into the restaurant and had the place to myself. My Japanese is very limited, but with a translate app I was still able to have a good conversation with the talented and kind chef. The omikase menu was well balanced, full of flavor, and completely without pretense. All delicious, and at an extremely reasonable cost. I’m looking forward to coming back!
