Some world class sushi on display, dedicatedly prepared in front of you (if sat at the counter). Come for the adventurous sashimi options like urchin and caviar, stay for the incredible cuts of tuna, salmon and scallop. Very expensive for sushi standards so you won’t find locals here. After 20 minutes we were the only customers in the restaurant so the atmosphere was a bit dead. Otherwise a pleasant meal.

Great service and the best tempura course menu. If you want a different course menu in Osaka, I highly recommend Ritz-Carlton Japanese Restaurant Hanagatami.

The quality of this restaurants food did not match the price tag at all. Given its at ritz we knew it was gonna be pricey the problem is not the price but the quality. It was so bad the we did not finish our food. We were put in a corner of the restaurant in the back, when asked to be moved or seated at the sushi bar the waitress told us no. Then 3 men came to eat seated behind us they said they didn’t realize this was a set menu and wanted to order Al a carte and the waitress said no they can’t order Al la carte so they were gonna go to Italian restaurant but somehow now they got seats at the sushi bar but we were denied… they came after us too..  fyi there were an open seating at the bar it was completely empty anyways we asked for the bill and was just gonna pay it and leave and we did pay and when the waitress was cleaning up our table she  asked if we were full cause we barely ate and we told her no we’re no the fish tasted not fresh and was super chewy. She was like ok I’ll let the chef know but we can’t do anything about it but do u want free dessert we said no it’s ok we just gonna leave. While she was walking us out she’s like I’m sorry about the sushi but do you usually eat sushi? We said of course we do we eat a lot of sushi but paying 200 each person for 12 pieces of fish that is not fresh and not eatable the quality of the price and fish isn’t matching up. U would think somewhere known as the ritz their sushi quality would be up to par especially in Osaka japan but that was not it. Also one person in our group of 3 forced himself to eat it hoping the next piece was gonna get better…. It never did. 2 plates of the sushi was not finished.

Great 1 Michelin Star dining experience. 27,000 yen per person for the tempura set with the additional Wagyu beef and Abalone. Would highly recommend you try this while in town and the tempura is just amazing goood!

Every produce is from within Japan and they explain how each tempura should be eaten (with plain Okinawa salt, tempura sauce, lemon juice, or just by itself) and you be surprised at how it tastes different with each bite you taste.

Special sparkling sake was interesting if you drink so go try it!

I have been to 8 different Michelin Star restaurants, all one-star except one was two-star — And I can say for certain this is the worst Michelin Star restaurant I have ever had.

The food has absolutely no flavor, I have eaten better tuna in Nishiki Market. I was very underwhelmed. The only dishes I enjoyed were the sea urchin and persimmons dessert.

If you are a westerner like me, I highly recommend avoiding this establishment.

I think the only reason this has a michelin star is because it is in the Ritz-Carlton.
