Probably the ultimate version of a family restaurant. The chef is able to strike a balance between richness and elegance. The hostess serves with hospitality and gives accurate english introduction. Great ingredients, large portions and well-seasoned dishes. Definitely worth a visit.

The dining experience at Teruya was the best I have ever had by far. The food was simply incredible, and coming from America, it felt like it was a true experience in Japanese cuisine. The hostess was able to explain the construction each dish and the origins of the ingredients (even in English!) and was a wonderful host in every sense.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is incredibly intimate and elegant. Everything about the atmosphere felt first class, and the hostess and chef had wonderful personalities and we felt like we really got to learn their story, which made the meal even more special.

お昼にゆっくりお食事いただきました。

デザートが、フルーツだけだったので、
通常であれば、他のデザートあって、最後フルーツかな？と思ってたので、その点残念でしたが、その他お料理は、美味しかったです。

好みによりますが、すき焼きの出汁の味、もう少ししっかりした味の方が個人的には好きかな？少し薄いかな？と思いました。

お造り、ご飯その他、料理が出てくるタイミングよかったです。貸切だったからかもしれませんが。

配管設備等の関係で調理場が奥にありあまり大将と話せない点は残念でした。

Dessert was only fruit, so
Normally, there would be other desserts, but maybe fruit at the end? That's what I thought, so I was disappointed, but the other dishes were delicious.

It depends on your preference, but I personally prefer the flavor of sukiyaki soup stock to be a little more robust. Is it a little thin? I thought.

The timing of the sashimi, rice, and other dishes being served was good. Maybe it was because it was reserved.

Unfortunately, the kitchen was in the back due to plumbing issues, so I couldn't really talk to the chef.
