I just love this place. They hAve one of the best salad bars in Japan. They also serve tacos and pasta a d various other small dishes. The dessert table is lovely with ice cream, puddings jellies. And the Apple pie is gorgeous! It's a bit pricy, ¥1900 for the full buffet or ¥1300 for the express which gives you two plates of food, one soup, one drink and one dessert. Nice to eat once in a while when you feel like a veggie boost!

When I say hunger struck, hunger struck and we were all about a buffet with no time limit, coming from what seemed to be a marathon of walking everywhere sightseeing, it was about that time. So coming from Tochomae sta. on the Oedo line take the a1 exit. When you see Royal Host (yes go up the small stairs towards it)..the entrance to Sizzler is next door. You go through the entrance and up the stairs to be greeted and seated. Once seated we were given menus. We opted to also order something from the menu, so we chose the steak and baked potato combo with the salad bar. Steaks arrived as ordered and the salad bar provided a fair share of options. Now it's no sweet tomatoes but it'll do. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they labeled "taco meat" because that ishh was more like a consistency of a sloppy joe and it was sweet too. I was like uhmm ... no.. the guac.. did someone run it through a blender and forget about it? ok Mexican food not your forte. So I tried the other offerings such as the corn soup, sweet again. The tomato soup, also sweet. Completely lost the tang. On the flip side the cheese bread was pretty good. I asked for four slices and ate em all. Overall: imho, you should order something from the menu with your salad bar to feel satisfied. They had pasta too but having the steak, baked potato and the salad bar completely filled me up. I was so full i felt someone should have carried me back home. haha. Staff were quick to please and easy to flag down should you need anything additional. enjoy!

I simply can't rate a restaurant I've walked out of anything other than a one star. The last time we were here it was so noisy that we got up and walked out despite having waited for 15 minutes for a table. This is a direct result of the volume the management chooses to keep the very annoying pop music at. It is nearly ear splitting in the waiting area but even worse in the restaurant because everyone has to shout to talk above the music. We just walked over to a nearby Ootoya and enjoyed a meal for less than half of what we would have paid in Sizzler and I think we probably enjoyed it more as well. We have been going here periodically over the past few years, mainly for the salad bar. (It should be noted, however, that the difference between salad bar only and salad bar plus lamb chops or most other entrees is about ¥500, I think.) In the last couple of years they must have made some kind of deal for tourist packages because it is always packed with people who seem to be staying in one of the nearby hotels, mostly Japanese. Strangely, there is almost always--I've probably seen it at least 5 times over almost as many visits--a table of Japanese "bears" here as well. Also, parents in Japan feel like it is perfectly fine to let their kids run around and shriek at will anywhere they haven't been specifically forbidden to enter so you often have that to deal with. I've actually had a child walk right up to my table and stare at me and then she proceeded to dance around the table talking to her imaginary friend. No reaction from her parents. It was only when I started singing to my imaginary friend that she decided to leave. Strangely, now it is so loud you are unlikely to notice the noise of the children, but their running around freely is still a danger, especially to the themselves.

Salad bar was pretty good but the food wasn't impressive... I would say it's expensive but when I think about it the salad and pasta bar was included with any grill menu item so that's 2400 yen and the small steak and calamari was 1500 yen so that shows what the star of the restaurant is! Wouldn't put on top of my list of places to return.

If Sizzler in the U.S. was like this one in Shinjuku, I'd eat there at least once a week. We had already had our fill of fine Japanese cuisine during my last trip to Tokyo & Kyoto, so my youngest daughter and I split from the fam (who went for ramen) to walk down the street from our hotel to the familiar Sizzler sign. I was skeptical, but my daughter wanted sliders... I quickly discovered that this establishment was nothing like its namesake in the States. I ordered salmon and the salad bar. I could've just had the salad bar since it had tofu, yam, and so many other items not found at a standard salad bar I'm accustomed to. The wait staff were friendly and I received a coupon for my next visit after settling the check. Just wish that wasn't our last night in Japan so I could use that coupon! Domo arigato gozaimashita!

Imagine how happy I was to see the silver lettered sign "SIZZLER" before my eyes. I had long given up my hopes of ever seeing one again since they left Chicago in 1996. I knew I was in this fabulous country of Japan and needed to eat at all of the fabulous restaurants I could, but Sizzler had to be on that list. There was a wait, but that's a good sign because the dining room looked bustling.We were seated and it was everything I remember from 20 years ago, but modernized.The service was fast and courteous. The food bar was amazing (try the french onion soup please!). I ordered the salmon and it was delicious. I was the happiest American in Tokyo because I found and visited this Sizzler.

Buffet style. Got really good selections!!! But not so expensive. If you miss American style of Mexican food, this is gonna be the recommendation place!!

I do not do chains! But my colleagues wanted to try out this place for steaks. I got the seafood platter. It was the toughest lobster tail I have ever tasted. The shrimp were chewy and over cooked. The only good item was the salad bar. Would never go here again!
