Visited here with a reservation and had the lunch course which had seven dishes. Started off with a danish pancake topped with caviar which was delightful. Next was sashimi paired with nashi; it was nice and fresh with a bit of sweetness and acidity. The signature fermented mushroom dish has a concentrated yet pure mushroom umami flavor; it was enjoyable even though I am not a fan of this type of mushroom. For mains, there was a seabass filet followed by a grilled duck breast dish; both were delicious, especially the duck meat which was perfectly cooked. Dessert was a rose and charcoal nitrogen ice cream which was fragrant and refreshing. Finally there were five quality mignardises paired with your choice of drink; I went with the herb tea. Overall a really tasty and satisfying lunch course, well worth the price, and the service was good.

The food at L’Argent is very interesting and varied. Every dish surprised me in its own way, and there were some amazing courses served. I especially liked the signature mushroom soup, the grouper, and the freeze-dried rose petal dessert.

However, several dishes were lackluster considering the overall quality of the restaurant. Especially during the middle portion of the meal, when I expect to have very strong and satisfying main courses, a few dishes were unfortunately underwhelming, such as the pigeon, or the braised celeriac.

I have no doubt about the skill and creativity of the chef. I think that the dishes chosen to make up the meal could use some improvement. Perhaps on a different day I would have had courses better suited to my tastes.

Came on a Friday evening with a group and had the 11 course meal with glass of champagne booked on ikkyu for 24000 per person.
I am so glad we came here - this place was awesome - the food was creative and so tasty... We were trying to pick a favorite dish but seriously we're not able as each dish had its own unique taste and characteristics.
The chef comes out and explains his dishes which was a great point.
The service was very good and all the staff were knowledgeable.
They have a terrace which overlooks ginza - again great part of this restaurant.
I will be coming back as I was really impressed with everything about here.

We came here to celebrate a special occasion and L'Argent didn't disappoint.

Located on the 7th floor of Ginza place, it is an intimate restaurant with modern decor and a balcony that overlooks one of Ginza's many famous road crossings. Feel free to ask to go outside to take in the view.

We had an amazing 8-course dinner that blended French & modern techniques with amazing Japanese-sourced ingredients.

While on the pricier side, it is worth it when celebrating a special occasion. We loved all the dishes and I believe the menu is seasonal but we particularly enjoyed our fermented mushroom soup, snow crab quiche, seared kue (fish) and grilled pigeon dishes.

Staff were very attentive and friendly. They also speak English. The head chef and owner even came to present the final course and was also present to see us off.

Highly recommend this place for the food and the experience.

Went there for lunch with my International friends - fermented mushroom soup was out of this world and super delicious! Hand made sour dough bread was amazing and delicious too. The quality of food is great by Mr Kato who used to work at a Michelin Star restaurant in Azabu and he got headhunted! Good choice! I am sure the restaurant will receive the two star soon. Highly recommend. Located at the Ginza intersection above Nissan, there’s a terrace which maybe ideal to use in warmer weather with a great view for some drinks.
