If you’re in Ginza and looking for a trendy, deep-fried treat, Age 3 is an interesting spot to check out—once. The line was about 30 minutes, but the wait didn’t feel too bad since a staff member was outside guiding customers, keeping things organized, and making the experience more manageable.

Now, onto the food. The sandwiches were definitely unique, featuring crispy, deep-fried bread with various fillings. I tried a few different options, including a brûlée-style custard one, a chocolate-strawberry combination, and a pistachio-topped creation with a raspberry drizzle. They were all good, but not mind-blowing. The textures were nice—the crunchy, warm exterior contrasted well with the soft, creamy fillings—but I didn’t feel like it was something I’d crave again.

Would I go back? Probably not. But was it worth visiting? Yes. If you’re into viral food trends or just love trying new desserts, it’s worth the experience. Just don’t expect it to be life-changing.

A relative was visiting Tokyo and invited me to join them to check out the hype Age.3
The sandwiches were more expensive than I expected, but they did not disappoint even after a ~35 minute wait on a Saturday.
I loved the salmon sandwich. Creme brulee was superb. Cream was good, and lasted 2 days in the fridge (still a little crispy!)
Tip: don't go on weekends.

90% aesthetic + 10%flavour= 100%tourist trap
We got to the shop at 10.30 for a 11am open time there was already a long queue formed. You get handed a in shop menu which is different from the online menu with restricted options. Me and my wife both enjoy desserts and I have a long history as a pastry chef. Toppings were scarce and the cream is a diabetic nightmare tasting only sugar and not much else. Total for three was around 2500yen
One by one my choices were
1. Mango- three small soft pieces on the top with some of the juice that falls straight to the bottom of the packet. Too much cream and barely any real toppings.
2. Chocolate and banana- again three small slices of banana on top of the too sweet cream mixed with too sweet store bought chocolate sauce. I am a massive chocolate fan and dessert enthusiast this was too sickly for me to finish
3. Pistachio- this was probably the most worth it not because it's good but because the amount of pistachios on top is probably worth something. Cream had cheap pistachio to give a green hue but not strong enough to give flavour. Coulis on top too much sugar to tell if strawberry or raspberry.
Overall if you wish to waste money on pretty food for Instagram try it. If you value time, money and taste do not visit.

All in all a good snack ok the go but prepare to stand in the queue for at least 20 min.
The staff is super friendly and there is one person assisting the people standing in the queue. They even provide an umbrella and take your trash (only from the store, not all your trash).
The choice is good - tuna was great and so was number 32 - the Japanese beef with egg.
The cheese burger toast was a funny gem but taste wise just okay in my opinion. The famous cream toast was only 200¥ and very rich but not too sweet and paired well with the crispy toast. Better than I though!
All in all a good spot for lunch on the go.
Unfortunately half of the egg was eaten by the pigeons as it fell down. Not easy to eat :D

The fried sandwich was surprisingly good & the cream is not heavy. Couldn’t really taste any pistachio in the pistachio cream. The chocolate strawberry was ok. The original whipped cream fried sandwich was probably the most worth (first one you order is ¥200) it & nicest amongst the 3 we tried.
Overall not something I would get again but definitely worth trying once!
