Although I’m a foreigner, I’ve had many great Omakase experiences in the United States. I understand this one is priced lower, so I’ve lowered my expectations, but the quality still falls short. As someone mentioned in the review, the fish isn’t cut or presented well, and the flavor is bland. The way they present the nigiri doesn’t highlight the unique flavors of different fish, so each nigiri tastes similar. I’m also not sure if this is common in Omakase here in Japan, but they slightly seared the otoro, which surprised me because for otoro, I expect to experience the fatiness and how the fat melts in my mouth. The part I’m most disappointed about is that my sushi fell apart. But I think the most important thing for a sushi chef is to make great rice. The service is also quite inconsistent. My water bottle is often not refilled on time, and I’m not sure if it’s because they’re trying to achieve a high turnover rate.

Fantastic omakase experience! Found it on the Michelin guide and was able to snag a reservation. Since we were four, we didn’t get to sit at the counter but directly beside so we still got the show. Very kind chef, skilled and high grade fish. We didn’t option 4, it was plenty of food!!

on the michelin and it does not disappoint!!!! the fish is so delicious and there was an amazing variety of textures and tastes. the atmosphere was amazing and it an excellent price for what you are receiving. one of our most memorable diners in japan.
