Modern art is correct. Pretty much put some creation in an exhibit and call it art.

Smells funky in the exhibit, like feet.

The view of the city is nice though.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Mori arts gallery, we bought tickets for the Keith haring exhibition & the regular Mori arts exhibition all about climate change & damage to our earth.

Both were very interesting but we loved the Keith haring exhibit most, there’s a lot to look at and you can take photos of most things.

And also when you leave the Keith haring exhibit you can see a lovely view of Tokyo!

There’s always staff to help you where you need to be etc.

We visited on a Monday and didn’t have to buy tickets in advance.

Really cool exhibit about urban artist! Saw work by kaws and banksy which was really nice. It’s definitely worth it to but tickets for the observatory and watch the sunset before walking through the museum. They have a place to lock up you umbrellas and bags so you can walk freely.

I’ve been to Mori Arts Center in 2022 to see their regular gallery which was a pleasure seeing in person. But earlier this year they were holding a Hokuto No Ken 40th anniversary event. I believe it’s running until mid November so try to make it out to Roppongi to see it. The gallery was also fine with photographs in most areas (that was a win win in my book). If you’re a HNK or 80’s anime fan you’d love this. Plenty of images from the manga with descriptions, large pieces of line art from the anime, and numerous HNK products from its history. They even had large golden statues of Kenshiro, Jagi, Raoh, and Toki. I ended up buying a tshirt and several pieces of merch. Events like this is why I love going to Japan to increase my otaku meter to the fullest.

Was roomy in the museum and entertaining.  The exhibition was well done but ended up being very short and small.  The view from the top was fantastic but there was only one side of the building to look out of and everybody was hanging out there because there is nowhere else to sit without paying extra on that observation floor.  It was crowded. There are multiple things to do once you get up to the 56th floor, but must pay more to access each separated area.  Old people will have trouble finding somewhere to sit and relax.
