Great zoo with so much to see and do, would recommend at least 2-3 hours to fully experience and enjoy it. They also have a cafe and small shop, and the cherry trees were starting to bloom. You also get entry to the aquatic park with the one ticket which is nice.

Much better than ueno zoo. Guinea pig petting was a highlight. We liked that they brought in new batches of guinea pigs for each session so the animals don't get stressed and everyone has a turn. Besides that, the zoo was bigger and less crowded, and we felt that the animals were more happy and better taken care of compared to ueno. Plus there were many kids carnival rides to play. Bonus was the aquarium zoo at the other side of the park that we did not have time to explore

Entrance fee was cheap but much better to go to ueno/tama zoo than to this place. Only limited animals are available. And maybe due to winter there’s no elephant also. Condition of monkey was horrible

A small but very interesting and affordable zoo. They have few attractions, but it's worth visiting to spend time with children. They have a café and restaurant, many benches to sit on, toilets, and a playground. It's an excellent option if you're waiting to enter the Ghibli Museum.

I can't stress enough how beautiful this park is during cherry blossoms season late March and early April, I came during early April 2022, and the flowers were beginning wilt and were falling off. I recommend in late March. The experience was once in a life time especially for those not coming back to Japan anytime soon. One of the most memorable experiences in Japan.
