Was keen to visit this bar as part of my quest to visit venues Anthony Bourdain did during his time in Japan, like I'm sure others have done or plan to do. The bar has a lot to offer in terms of aesthetic, it's just a shame the bartender seemed disinterested, because it defenitely took away from the vibe. Signature cocktails on offer were average, so I ordered a Negroni. It was ok. At least we weren't shown the door like other customers have been in the past. For two drinks, it definitely wasn't worth the 3700 Yen price tag.

A tiny bar in a little street with similar sized places. This street is an amazing find! We stumbled on it, went in the bar, which indeed has a piano downstairs, people sit upstairs. 10 or so and then it’s full. Very warm atmosphere. Drinks are ice cold and reasonably priced. Met there with a Dutch Plumber, a Korean model and a Korean actor, a Canadian YouTuber and a Japanese parking assistant. The owner came by as well. Lovely evening, would definitely recommend!

Don’t go here if you can. The bartender was super unfriendly and the place played the same 2 songs on loop.

One of the best and coziest bars around Shibuya in my opinion. There is no cover charge to my knowledge here (probably that changed with covid) coz i never got charged that.
Drinks range from 1000yen for simple ones and 1500yen for cocktails etc. They are good!

The atmosphere obviously is the best here, especially upstairs, just make your way up there and be ready for randoms who will join your conversation there.

This is an incredible Alice in Wonderland-like place. It is tiny, as are all other places in Drunkards’ Alley (Nonbei Yokocho) and charges a cover fee of ¥ 1,000, but still worth a visit.

It’s impossible to capture right on photos but a solid 20% of your conversations at this place will be “wow, this place is amazing.” Obviously, there is more to a place than pure aesthetics, but the cool part about this place having such a striking appearances is that it will entice interesting people (tourists mostly) to go visit. I met so many incredible people during my time at this bar.

Previous posters indicated that drinks were poor here. I can’t comment on this because I just got two gin and tonics and those were pretty standard. The owner of the place could have had more of a smile than a frown but you will most likely sit upstairs so this will not matter. He was reluctant but still agreed to charge my iPhone while I drank, for example. I was really grateful!
