Bad experience. Date night ruined.

Had high hopes of visiting Flying 🐝 and was looking forward to having a couple of cocktails there…but due to poor decision making and service by the staff, we did not enjoy our time there.

Initially, we were placed at this waiting area and asked to wait for seats. It’s a small bar with prob around 12-15 seats. However there were two seats occupied by a bag n a coat (?) belonging to a group of tourists (please see pic). We asked a couple of times if we can take those two seats instead, but the wait staff gave unacceptable reasons on why we can’t - to summarise, we are upset that the staff didn’t even try and instead, chose to let a bag and a coat occupy the seats throughout our time there. They then proceeded to serve us our drinks, with us still placed at the waiting area, on uncomfortable stools and a shaky table. They also forgot to serve us water and the bar snacks also came late - we felt forgotten.

So it was not possible for us to stay further for a second drink as we felt unwelcomed.

What a bummer.

Good local cocktail bar, it was my first visited bar in Tokyo, the owner can speaks English, it has a unique vibe.  Quite place perfect for dating. The drinks I recommend the pisco sour and banana flambé old fashioned. It’s really tasty and perfect to go with the chocolate they have on the menu. It’s a great bar that worth for paying multiple times.

Absolutely amazing, a hidden gem. This is a female owned cocktail bar. She makes cocktails of a high quality. The ingredients are also top notch. I tried something traditional and something uniquely Japanese. The drinks were amazing and not that expensive. The snacks you can order are also great, a larger plate than expected. I know I'm using the word great a lot, but the atmosphere was also great. An intimate cellar bar, with concrete, an impressive wall with all the liquor, a huge dark wooden table and lovely little lamps for every pair of seat. It was spacious and intimate at the same time. The music was smooth and relaxing. This was a non-smoking location, which was very important to me. The cocktails weren't all that expensive either. The most expensive I saw on the menu was 2000 yen, but many were between 1200 and 1500. All in all, it was worth a detour in my Tokyo trip!
