I was in Tokyo for 2 weeks, and I think this was my favourite bar. Hidden away, so not super busy, but with a great beer selection, nice tunes and a friendly barman.

Nice little taproom. It was nice to drop by and have a good craftbeer after walking around. Japanese craft on tap and on the fridge. Also other new fresh drops on fridge etc. Monkish, Other Half and Hudson Valley.
Music a pit too loud for my ear. Prices in line with other craftbeer places.

The 18 beers on tap were amazing, featuring mostly Japanese breweries. The service was great as well. Come early if you enjoy a quieter and more local atmosphere.

Super friendly bartender and amazing craft beer selection, little quieter area off the main streets of Shibuya, great place to grab a beer or five!

We stumbled upon this place in Shinjuku for a nightcap after dinner. We were originally trying to find another bar in the area, but I was freezing and couldn't stand being outside any longer, so without hesitation we walked right into this place. They had a cover charge of about $3, which I was already hesitant about for a beer bar, but we paid anyway. They had beer from Japan and other places around the world. I, of course wanted to try something local, so I opted for a orange hefeweizen. Although the beer was good, I was disappointed in the pricing as a small 8 oz beer was almost $9...that's more expensive than what I would've paid for in the U.S. The place felt like a smaller scale beer bar in the U.S. I personally would've much rather enjoyed many of the other bars on Golden Gai.

Awesome taproom with a big selection of domestic and foreign beers on tap plus a few bottles. Great pizza and fine quality pub grub makes it a great spot for food a few steps for the intensity of Shinjuku station. The staff can understand English and they have good, friendly and attentive service. A must visit in Tokyo for any craft beer lover!

Upon coming inside, you are told that there is a table charge, which is essentially a cover charge, for each member of your party. The cover charge includes an appetizer, which turns out to be a plate of pretzels. You don't get to choose the appetizer, so just a heads up. A number of beers on tap, i ordered a large IPA which seems to be a popular favorite. Turns out, it tastes like a Dallas Blonde IPA. Not much to say about this place. The environment seems relaxed, the staff seemed friendly enough, and the beer was good. That aside, know that there is a cover charge, you don't get to pick your appetizer, and the beers are pretty pricey. My party of 5 and 5 beers with cover charge took home a bill of $85. Not my first choice to come back, but I wouldn't object to stopping by and trying it out again.

AVOID! ice cold staff. not a smile or a welcome despite being only customers late afternoon. seemed like we were intruding... cover charge 300pp...for this we were served a dozen stale pretzels. beer was fine but the attitude and customer service were dreadful especially by Japanese standards. got out of there quick before the "unwelcome" vibes saturated us. one got the feeling you were not among "beer people" but among businessmen who value the Yen more than customers. their motto: extract Yen = success...wrong. with so many amazing craft places in Tokyo and even near this taproom, its simple: GO ELSEWHERE.

Decent beer however the ¥300 cover charge is justified with an appetizer. Going in the group I was with was under the assumption the cover charge meant an appetizer per person. However, we were wrong and not only was the appetizer chosen for us, it turned out to be a handful of pretzels. Not worth the ¥1200 yen cover we paid and there are definitely better craft beer bars in the area that do not ask for a cover charge.

Awesome place for craft beer in Tokyo. Selection and service are impeccable. From US draughts to more local Japanese brews - there's something to appease you. The food is quit delectable, too! Highly recommend if you are in the Shinjuku area...

Beer and pizza. First pizza I have ever seen with fried egg on it! Smallest sink I ever saw is in the men's room. 300 Yen cover charge and one drink minimum. Lot's of fun and good service!
