Who knew chicken could be so interesting? Not me! We booked this place out of curiosity as we had never heard of chicken omakase before. It did not disappoint. When we arrived, we were the only foreigners and other guests were locals - good sign! Every dish was beautifully presented, served quickly and every bite surprised me with layers of depth! You could sense the passion and years of dedicated craft in the food. If you get too full, there is an option to serve half portion and pack the other half to go — which we definitely needed because there was a LOT of food (over 20 dishes!). The head chef, Shintaro Sato, was great at explaining the dishes in English and modifying to our dairy and gluten allergies (lol I know!). The staff was also so welcoming and accommodating. If I could, I would’ve came back the very next day! This is definitely a must try on your Tokyo trip.

Really good experience my husband and I had here.

The food was good. However, the amount was wayy too much for me. There were a few courses of the same meat (chicken thigh?) and they were quite big in portion.

I would suggest not having lunch and having this for an early dinner so you don’t end up being super stuffed after.

1. First time Feb 2024

Best dish was ALMOST the humble sweet potato

I have only ever tried toriyaki in skewers. Today is the first time in my life that not a single skewer was seen.

Before you come, please note that it is normal that you cannot enter the place before your booking time.

We did not know and we were trying to open the door. We were trying to think if it is a sliding door, push door, voice activated door, action activated door, or even worse, we went to the right place. Our booking was at 8 and on the dot, the door opened.

Today must have been a super lucky day because we sat right in front of Chef Sato. Without him, the place would have no heart. Chef was kind and funny. he was very humourous and charming. You have to meet chef in person. He has a golden voice. I think if god spoke to me, he would sound like chef.

There were 20 dishes on our menu and every dish was special. You can tell chef gave alot of heart for each dish.

I loved every one but these 3 stood out the most:

3) chicken cartilage with radish. Perfect seasoning , perfect grilling, perfect crunch

2) Sweet potato . I have never tried sweet potato like this. It was perfectly caramelized, the skin and outer layer was crunchy. The center was moist and sweet. Butter gave the perfect finish

1) The crunchy rice ball eaten with chicken broth. The rice ball by itself had perfect char and was crispy on the outside. The soup was Rich yet not too oily. It tasted very clean and healthy. We were then told to pour the soup on the rice ball . When eaten together, you taste chicken, crispy rice, flavourful rice and yummy sesame seeds. It felt like rice heaven for me. Please always have this on the menu chef

I give special mention to the strawberry dessert. Chef called it strawberry shaved ice.

I rather call it Strawberry bukkake

This restaurant literally means "little flower" but to me, Ohana means family. I will come back again because I feel like family.

Today we had a different menu. The dish that left the deepest impression is 鸡白汤

We shared our cultural differences about 鸡白汤 and bonded over 鸡白.

First time trying a chicken yakitori omakase and didn't really know what to expect going into it. It was a really unique take on chicken yakitori and ended up being one of our most memorable meals in Japan. We had a reservation and were seated upon arrival. Seating is all in front of the chefs, who grill and prepare the dishes right in front of you (open kitchen). The space inside is intimate and modern, with dim warm lighting.

The omakase included at least 10-15 courses, inclusive of both the chicken-based dishes and others. Each of the dishes were well presented, and many different chicken parts were served across the experience. Out of all the dishes, our favorite was the spicy fried chicken; the flavor was so unique and delicious, and the chicken was juicy and tender. The dinner ended with a grape shaved ice dessert and tea. We were pretty stuffed by the end.

Service was great, food was great, and we met a few other international travelers that we chatted with during dinner. Overall, a memorable and fun dining experience.

Tip: I'd recommend trying their fermented coca cola drink.

If you’re reading this you must visit. Incredible dinner, beautiful restaurant and very very friendly team. Made us feel very welcome and were happy to chat throughout the evening.
