What a stunning park! 🍂 I visited during the autumn season, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The park is expansive, with countless trees showcasing vibrant fall colors. I arrived just before sunset, and the view was spectacular, transitioning beautifully into the night with lights illuminating the park. It was such a magical experience, and I’d love to visit again in every season! 💗

We purchased tickets for 1,600 yen each, likely as part of a seasonal special.
I visited on 11/24/2024 and while many of the leaves had already fallen, signaling the end of the peak season, the scenery was still beautiful. ✨

Winter displays a different kind of beauty. There was not a lot of greens or leaves in the trees, but the park was still so beautiful. Make sure you come with warm clothes as the wind is very strong.

There is a train ride (that circles the whole park) and runs every 25-60 minutes. ¥400 per adult. We got to see the whole park in 40 minutes (the guide of the train spoke Japanese during the ride, but he spoke English one on one). It was a pleasant ride.

It’s great that there are vending machines every 5 minutes for drinks - both hot and cold options (¥120-170). There are a few restaurant options too. There were food trucks (Banh Mi sandwiches and Coffee) outside the Emperors Museum, and those were really good!

Very big and famous place. But it's not free. The entrance fee is 450 yen. There are many sections there. After sunset now the illumination starts but you have to pay for individual shows. The place is too crowded. Now it is time for Gikno tree peak season. Honestly, the smell is very prominent 😂

This is a very large park where you could easily spend an entire day. Even if you arrive in the afternoon, you should plan for at least two and a half hours to explore. At the park entrance, you’ll find a stunning avenue lined with ginkgo trees. The Japanese garden features a traditional pond surrounded by vibrant autumn foliage, showcasing the beauty of classic Japanese landscape design.

We travelled all the way from New Zealand to Japan for autumn season. This park is remarkable with its beautiful scenery and well preserved bonsai plants. Highly recommend to add your travel itinerary.
