This place is awesome for cheap eats and cheap drinks. The narrow streets are packed with people (mostly young ones) who flock here evenings to enjoy getting drunk (specials of all you can drink for 2000 yen are readily available if you buy food). So the young ones buy small amounts of cheap food so they can load up on the drinks. My wife and I, being old, just bought one drink each but lots of different food (izakaya style) that was surprisingly cheap and decent (except for the steak strips which were like rubber). Beware the area is packed from early evenings and seating is hard to find at the popular food stalls so be prepared to squish in between some young ones, which in itself is an experience.

Many hidden gem of great thing been sold here. They offer a tourist for tax free also for discounts. One of bustling area. I bought some snacks, a japan unique t-shirt, a cap and many more and it's so affordable. Also for branded Preloved bags. I think this area also famous for their street foods and restaurants

Many things to see. You can shopping also eating and buy some gifts back to your home. Nice place for local and tourists.

I think this is the most un-Japanese place in Tokyo  (Osaka & Sapporo). It's not about the numerous tourists.. but a heavy concentration of China/ Chinese cuisine, shops, and staff/ workers.

And the shopping here reminds me of Ladies Market in Hong Kong. They will have a following.. but I'm not one of them.

Super lively shopping area with lots of vintage shops and eateries. This is where I purchased several of my souvenirs, including a timeless-looking Casio watch and kimonos for my girlfriends.

Pro-tip: many shops and restaurants are cash only. Lot of the stores also offer duty-free options.

Next time I am in Tokyo, I will surely be returning!
