A classic McDonald's. They had the usual stuff but I tried the Japanese items out of interest. Unsurprisingly, corn and edamame is pretty good. The garlic butter teriyaki chicken was ok. Something to try definitely. Service was fairly quick. The inside was pretty busy and tight but that might be just me.

Western comfort food in the land of the rising sun. Although not the first American Fast food to hit Japan's shores, McDonalds is in many ways the equivalent of the convenient stores like Lawson's and 7-11. You can pretty much find one in any town in Japan. In addition to getting your U.S. fix, you get an opportunity to try different selections that you can't get in the states. I love to get their ebi burger which is like a filet of fish except it has a shrimp patty which has chunks of shrimp in the patty and has a special sauce that seems a little sweeter than a regular tarter sauce offering. On this trip I decided to try the bacon potato turnover. It's basically a baked turnover with a creamy potato filling with bits of bacon in it. Couple that with a cup of coffee and you have a nice snack to "feed da need" till your next meal. So when you feel like a quick bite and want something more fast food, consider a convenient friend from the west to give you a bite to eat in a more convenient and familiar package with a little change of pace.

Japan loves there McDonalds. And I love them for having that love. Besides the obvious fact that I'm american and therefore have little alternative but to have a natural desire for hamburgers I like having mcds around for breakfast. A something not so readily found on this island. This mcds isn't that much different then others. Up a thin stairway it takes up the whole 2nd floor. There's a main area in front of the counter and another near the back. Plenty of places to sit. Bathroom is small but has a western toilet and separate girls and boys rooms. Bottom line. Its McDonald's. Duh guys. Next to big camera so you can get your electronic fix too!

McDonald's in Japan doesn't have a lot of choices, and the burgers are smaller than in France, but still filling for me. They also have huge drink cups. Service here is really fast. Some people get their order before finishing paying. Lots of counter-like seats. If you sit by the window, you can see people crossing, even though it's not like the Shibuya crossing.
