It has been a while since I last dined at Nirvana, my preferred restaurant for banana leaf rice.  While the food was still tasty, the quality seemed slightly below my usual expectations. The rice was a bit too soft, and the curry lacked the intensity of flavor I remember from previous visits.

Visited this Michelin guided banana leaf restaurant and found the experience quite disappointing overall. The rice was too wet, lacking fragrance and proper texture, which impacted the entire meal. The curry had no depth of flavor—just a generic sour taste that didn’t satisfy. The fried cucumber served with the set was cold and oily, which added to the letdown.

The only saving grace was the Chicken 65. It was well-marinated with a nice flavor. Masala tea was okay, mediocre experience.

Managed to queue for 15mins in total to get in here on weekend night! Price is on higher side but totally worth it, side dish so good, curry taste amazing and portion is big ✨👍 also service fast and punctual when me and friends got dinner here ☁️☁️☁️

The Food tastes amazing!
The staff is friendly and generous with the rice.
The food was made fresh and we had a large selection to choose from.
The food came fast and when ever we needed something we were helped quickly :)

How did this place get in the Michelin bib list only God knows. I love Indian food but this is one of the worst places I’ve eaten. We came for dinner at 6pm it was almost empty. Mutton curry, rice and all the vegetable dishes come out cold. The guy pours so much curry over my rice that it flows off the leaf onto my pants. The curry chicken tastes like curry powder mix with water. It’s awful. Kind of regret letting them put it all over my rice. Fried chicken is fried until it’s so dark brown, all the chicken juice has evaporated completely until it’s rock hard and dry. Fried fish is the same dark brown as the chicken, also rock hard and dried out.  The papadum comes cold and turns soft in 2 mins, and service is really bad, asked for more papadum twice, and the waiters nod, go off and never come back. 5 waiters standing around talking and not attentive at all. Food is not cheap considering it’s in a crappy old coffeeshop. Do not come here!!!
