Blueboy Bar & Disco was empty during a weekday happy hour which is kind of sad since there aren't too many Kuala Lumpur bars for friends of Dorothy. In fact, the three of us were the majority there not counting the bartender and a few guys rehearsing for a drag show. It must be more crowded on weekends. It's very dark dive bar that hasn't been upgraded in years if ever, and reminded me of Bangkok bars of long ago. The most interesting aspect was the expensive imported beer, complete with liquor tariff tags covering each bottle cap: Budweiser USA.

'We' visited Blueboy Disco last year, Feb 2016, and again 1st week of March 2017. Blueboy has undergone a great deal of positive renovation over past year. Very contemporary, cool and clean. CS from the reception door to the bar tender seemed to be more friendly - than last year. We arrived around 9:30 PM to get good seat for 12:30 AM show on Saturday night. At aprox 12:00 AM the bar was 'raided' by agents! OMG! Initially 6-7 women entered the bar, then probably 15+ male agents followed. House lights go on and agents announce to surrender ID's. Many agents 'watched' the floor, While some agents immediately went back stage, to the restrooms and secured the entrance/exit doors. Some agents had large zip lock bags that appeared to have syringes in the bags. Within a short time (10 minutes or so) agents returned with my and significant other's (American) ID back and told us we were free to go. As we exited, we heard an announcement that we 'could chose to stay' if we wanted. We choose to leave the bar for about 15 minutes to return to pick-up my umbrella. When I went back into the bar, it appeared agents had the customers 'lined up. for some unknown reason.
