On 25th July, SIX organised their first anniversary party. I attended with my boyfriend and a group of friends. It was easy looking for the road - Jalan Telawi 3. However, we had trouble finding the bar because it was on the first floor and its signboard was small. It is above a restaurant, on the same row as Hong Leong bank and opposite a gym. The business owner is a generous person. He gave free flow of beers, cocktails, whisky and finger foods. (^_^) Their tapas, especially the spicy grounded chicken liver on baguette, were yummy. It is a pity that dish wasn't on the menu. Otherwise, it would be a great hit because even my American boyfriend loved it. We ordered the fried chicken popcorn and fried sweet potato. Oh boy, were they delicious and value for money at MYR16 per dish. Our gang had so much fun. We chatted, drank and talked the night away until SIX's deejay started playing wonderful 80's songs. That was when my spontaneous boyfriend started to sway away to the music and before I knew it, he shifted away an empty table and pulled me onto the dance floor. LOL... We were the only couple sporting enough to dance and enjoy ourselves. A great night to dance away and destress. (^_^) Plus points: SIX has very good Wifi and attentive wait staff.

One of the few bar's that has ladies night in Bangsar on Wednesdays, where girls get 3 coupons which they can exchange to the coctails! You can smoke inside and they play quite a good music. However, I would not recommend to go there if you are planning to have a fancy or a big night out, because the place itself is really nothing special and the crowd is quite odd. The only advantage of the bar it's Ladies night offer, besides that there's no reason to visit this place. Bangsar is filled with bars that are much more entertaining and exciting.

Telawi's new kid on the block is this bar run by six friends. Hence, the name, SIX. The chic-looking cocktail lounge and bar is definitely set out to attract the trendies. But when we dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, there aren't a single soul. Happy hours was not applicable on that day too. Our experience was underwhelming. The drinks menu is extensive otherwise unspectacular. Prices are affordable but not cheap. The only thing that caught our eyes are the cocktails like 'Six Wrong Do Make It Right' and 'Guinness Tarik'. With a RM40++ price tag, our money is better saved for other drinks,

I visited SIX a while back with my friend during a ladies night! I remember the place to be quiet, I didn't like the music at all. We spent the whole time talking and it was ok. I actually liked that we had the music down a bit enough for us to talk. So basically this is the place you want to go to for a date where you don't want a big crowd and loud music to ruin your communication :) Quite honestly we only went there for a pre-party hangout and it was great! I honestly enjoyed it! but I would go there to party! :)

Six is a restaurant and bar located right above "La Crepe Caroline" on Telawi street in Bangsar. I've only passed through this spot but heard that it's pretty happening at night. Sort of like a hide out spot coz not a lot of people go there. Since KL is really small and you kind of bump into someone you know, six might be a cool place to go and just have a quiet chill night with a friend or two over some snacks and drinks!

I ended up at six after work one Wednesday (then ladies night prior to changing it to thursday) when a girlfriend joined me for the ladies night promo. The ever famous bartender emran created some lovely signature cocktails which we had for the 1 to 1 promo. The ice kacang cocktail was nice but pretty sweet for me, I still preferred the orange tea infused vodka cocktail which was on the house but limited to 3 per person. Six is known to use various ingredients to created signature cocktails with a twist. Most of the inspiration was taken off famous food recipes, like the truffle oil martini. The bartender focuses on creating his own infused flavors from herbs & fruits which they tend leave to 'marinade' for at least a week before using it in the cocktails. The cocktails here are abit more expensive as oppose to the neighboring water holes, but it's pretty much expected as they are known for their specialty cocktails. Dont bother coming here if you're looking to have a gin tonic!

Drinks were above average but service was very slow. Took about 25 minutes for our drinks to come on a slow Sunday night. Ambience was super smokey and we left the bar as soon as we finished one drink. Nothing too fancy, just OK.
