This place is a slice of heaven. It is absolutely beautiful, with soft sand and a lively house reef for snorkeling and diving. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and thorough, and the service is top notch. When we arrived and felt under-the-weather after a long trip, we felt like we were being taken care of by family, and the island doctor had us back to 100% in no time. The food is delicious - we specifically loved Sea Grill. The diving instructors at Noovilu Sports are also amazing, and Kandolhu is within close distance to many gorgeous dive sites. We stayed for two weeks and could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back!

This small intimate resort makes you feel like you've found paradise! The staff is very friendly, the food outstanding and I can't say enough about the Ocean Pool Villas. Our villa was 103 with an awesome outdoor shower, beachfront ocean view, pool and the sounds of waves crashing. The snorkeling directly in front was the best - turtles, eels, sharks and so many fish! Sunrise was beautiful and I appreciated the abundant shade so I could relax outside without having to put on sunscreen. Wish it was closer.

A truly incredible island. If you just want to escape all the pressures of everyday life and have the chance to wind down in a place that looks like Paradise, then this is the perfect destination. What really stands out is the service - all of the staff are excellent, so friendly and welcoming. A special mention must go to Estela, who lives up to her name as the star of the island, but also to Maan, Ziham, Kris, Gilbert and everyone else who made our stay so special. The resort managers - Monika and G - are very present and also go above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

The house reef is excellent for snorkelling and the sand and crystal clear water are as you would expect in the Maldives. Another great aspect of Kandolhu is the food - there are five restaurants to choose from, each of them offering a different menu. Every course of every meal is prepared with love and attention to detail and you'll be spoilt for choice wherever you eat. The restaurant area is rounded off with a delightful beach bar that serves a wide range of freshly made cocktails.

It's a very small island and very quiet - this is not the place to come if you want loads of activities and a party atmosphere. But if you want some peace and quiet and a lovely relaxed vibe, then it's hard to imagine finding a better place than Kandolhu. It's not cheap, of course - but the Ultimate Inclusions package is worth it, just so you don't have to worry about the eye-watering prices on the menus!

Absolute heaven on earth. This was our first trip to the Maldives. We did a ton of research to find the right resort for our family (2 adults, 2 teens) We definitely chose right!
From the moment we docked at Kandolhu, we were pampered and spoiled. The service is out of this world. From many of our hosts knowing our names to a perfect balance of privacy and meticulous attention to detail all over the tiny island.
Btw, shout out to whoever created the in room Playlist! The music was phenomenal!
We also believe Kandolhu has one of the best house reefs available. The night snorkeling is a must. We also went wakeboarding, which was an awesome experience. It's also nice that the water activity equipment is all free to use if you don't need a guide (SUP, kayaks, snorkels, etc)
We chose not to purchase a meal plan as our teens are super picky light eaters and even my husband and I don't eat or drink enough to make the a la carte plan make sense. We probably spent about 1/4 of what the meal plan costs each day.
So unless you are planning to really let go, it makes sense to pass.
On that note however, I have my one and only negative comment. While water is plentiful in the rooms, in the gym, at the included breakfasts, it is not included at lunch and dinner when you don't have a meal plan. (I'm talking about still water) This seemed silly and unnecessary. We would fill our own bottles with the water from the rooms and bring it to our meals.  I don't think our hosts knew what to make of us!
Water is life! As you will fully embrace after your time living in it at beautiful Kandolhu.

Amazing house reef makes for beautiful snorkeling.
Nice variety of restaurants means you always have a great choice for meals. The food was excellent throughout.
Stocked wine fridge in your room included. The cocktails and bar service was also excellent.
Final and important shout out to the staff, who were uniformly excellent - Monica was a first class guest relations manager and all the restaurant and bar staff are first class.
