It’s our last day here at Huvafen Fushi and honestly, we have never had a better holiday experience than this one! The rooms and views are exactly what you would hope for in visiting the Maldives, but the highlight of this trip for us has been the service. The staff are incredibly warm, accommodating and genuinely happy to see you. Also, I’m coeliac and pregnant, which means dietary requirements (especially abroad) are generally challenging, but not here. I haven’t been “glutened” once whilst I was here. All meals are made fresh and without cross contamination, and there’s even a gluten free section of the buffet that is separate from everything else. The chefs took the initiative to make fresh gluten free pastries for breakfast, and I had 3 different “surprise” gluten free desserts that were honestly beyond words. Thank you all SO much for making this an unforgettable “babymoon” for us - congratulations on creating such an idyllic and special place! Jess & James

My wife and I visited as part of our honeymoon last September and I have been meaning to write a review since so I figured the one year anniversary would be a great time to do so. We still talk about the trip and experience often, and Noel and the team made the whole vacation magical. They went beyond to make the events and private under the ocean dinner experience extra special and memorable and we are truly grateful. Noel even upgraded us near the end which helped wrap up the trip beautifully. The rooms on the water, the cube, the temperature controlled pool, the views, and service were all incredible. Told many friends already and more Canadians will visit. Thanks for helping us build beautiful memories that will last a lifetime. Cheers.

This is just a perfect and spectacular resort. What more can be said? The rooms were beautiful and spacious. The view is amazing and the service is excellent.
There is an extremely high chance of seeing beautiful sea creatures such as Stingrays, turtles and even sharks. Many activities can be done as well such as going on a dolphin cruise and going snorkelling and several exciting water sports. Definitely worth it!!

Even though I gave this resort 4 stars (and I'll explain the reason below), it's a beautiful, serene place. It's not overcrowded, breakfast was delicious, well-stocked and it even included a bloody mary and prosecco bar. Service is generally excellent. Marine life surrounding the island is abundant and you can see sharks, rays, lots of fishes and a relatively healthier coral reefs just a few metres from the beach. Food in general is good (except for the portion of one of the main dish that looked like an appetizer). My butler, Nazeeh, is so attentive and always around to check on us. The hotel even provided us a cake and champagne on arrival for my husband's birthday.

I gave it 4 stars because the rooms really needed an upgrade, which they will do soon. And, my husband almost swallowed a piece of shattered glass that was sitting at the bottom of a coffee glass in our room. He fished it out from his mouth luckily. This could have resulted in serious injury and may have ruined our very expensive trip. The butler gave us a discount for the spa treatment I got and free laundry but I thought they could do better than that in terms of service recovery. So we asked for free massages, but instead they gave us a free 3-course lunch which happily we accepted. So I really think that management needs to step up and show up when something has gone wrong.

Thank you for this unforgettable experience. Huvafenfushi is a small and elegant resort in the North Atoll - feels very private, exclusive and remote (even though you may fear that's not the case since only 30 minutes by boat from the capital). From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of by the amazing resort staff - did a quick island tour and were walked to our amazing ocean bungalow, where we opened the first (of many) Champaign bottles in front of a breathtaking view on the pool deck. Among the best experiences we tried during our week on the island - the snorkelling tour (where we could see 5 turtles!), the floating breakfast in our bungalow (food was for a family of 4!), the underwater massage in the spa (a bit like relaxing in a fish tank), the fishing experience at sunset, to name a few. Perfect resort for snorkelling lovers (there is a very active reef right in front of the main resort restaurant), and if you want to avoid masses of tourists and loud families. Service was excellent, food was good quality (especially for breakfast) with a wide variety of choices. Definitively recommended and would love to go back at some point!
