Visiting the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, was an awe-inspiring experience. As one of the largest and most impressive mosques in the world, it truly embodies Omani culture and Islamic architectural excellence. From the moment I approached the mosque, I was struck by its grandeur and beauty.
the staff is respectful and helpful in guiding people through the mosque’s different sections. Modest dress is required, and robes are available at the entrance if needed. There’s also a visitor center with informative displays about Islam, Omani culture, and the mosque itself, which is great for those looking to learn more.

Beautiful architecture!
A must visit place from Oman.
Other than Friday it is open for visitors everyday from 8 am to 11 am
If possible visit during early hours.
Wearing proper cloths with fully covered hands legs and head is essential for ladies .
Keep atleast two hours for this visit in your travel plan.

Monumental mosque! Everyone who visit Muscat should go there. It is open for visitors 8-11h and it is necessary respect rules about clothes and shoes.
There is a big free parking place with special area for tourists.

I visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque today and it was amazing! It's open from 8am to 11am for visitors after which it's allocated for prayers which is a standard across all the mosques in Muscat. It's free entry so no tickets needed. There are plenty of parking outside if you're driving. The high ceilings and domes are magnificent and the exquisite chandeliers add to the already impressive grandeur of the mosque. You must take off your shoes before going into the buildings but they have Shoe racks available. A must visit if you're in Muscat.

Absolutely stunning - the architecture, especially on the inside of the main mosque, is top tier. It needs to be seen by your own eyes to really appreciate it, definitely worth your time when in Muscat.

Free to visit, but only open to those of other religions between 8am and 11am, there is a car park where you could (presumably) order a taxi to.

There is a Bank Dhofar ATM located about a 5min walk away in case you need any cash.
