Most prawn noodle stalls give too prawn and pork meat, but not this stall

Ingredients are generous with adequate tender pork pieces, and chunky prawn slices.

This stall serves great old skool prawn noodles that has people queuing before the lunchtime.

Always go for the dry with chili  sambal. The dish comes with slices of meat & prawns. Enjoyed the fried shallots which were fried together with lard. Goes well with the noodles & sambal.

I had this stall recommended from multiple sources, and given that they only operate on weekdays, I had to carefully plan my visit and go on a day when I was on leave.

Their default serving portion is $5 (as at Nov 2024), but you can pay to add noodles or other ingredients. I decided to get the dry version since this is the one they are famous for.

The noodles were pretty well seasoned but what stood out was really their soup. This is yet another bowl of prawn soup that would be good enough to be served as a soup at an upscale omakase. It's also best enjoyed when hot and the flavour profile changes with drop in temperature, so don't take too long to finish it.

I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area at the right time.

Paid $5 for a plate of prawn noodle. The portion is not big but reasonably good for a satisfying meal. The soup taste is umami with very obvious flavour of prawn, rich aroma. The noodle is well cooked with generous slices of lean meat and prawns. The Michelin award is legit, absolutely worth it.
