This is a great place to come to stay the evening for happy hour.
You'll find plenty of places offering beers for around $3++ and pints for $6++.
There a great view of Marina Bay from most of the places.
It's fairly quiet most of the day and doesn't really come to life until the evening.

There’s a lot of great restaurants and pubs in this historic area. Prices are low for the high quality of food and service. Great views of the river and surrounding area.

Boat Quay is better than Clark Quay. People running and exercising during the day are cool. The restaurants are also pretty good. There is a 24-hour hamburger chain, so you can eat cheaply.

We just walked by the Boat Quay at night, and the view of the Parliament House, Empress hotel, and the Fullerton hotel across the Singapore River is beautiful to gaze at.

The diverse restaurants along the river from the Boat Quay to Elgin Bridge werent too intriguing, but may be good for people to love to have some drinks & food on the outdoor patio.
