I had the opportunity to visit School Of The Arts Singapore (SOTA) 🏫Concert 🎶🎹🎻🎷 Hall, to attend Singapore 🇸🇬 Youth Festival – Instrumental Ensemble – Guitar 🎸performance.

Located at the junction 🛣️ between Selegie Road and Orchard Road you can easily find buses 🚌 🚏 and MRT 🚇 (Dhoby Ghaut) station nearby for you to walk 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️🚶 to.

Building – Impressive 🤩 with very high roofing structures, it is a bold and elegant design with a good design usage of concrete and wooden 🪵 timber. The Concert Hall is located just at the entrance and that makes visitation from outsiders (like me) a lot easier to do crowd control. Security👮‍♀️ are set up at various points and basically, if you are not a staff 👩‍💼or student 👨‍🎓, you cannot visit the rest of the school. Not even the canteen.

The Concert Hall – Very well-designed acoustic 🎶 layout. From the set-up performance area to the walls inside the hall. The lighting 💡is also well set up to give the highlights to the performers 🧑‍🎤👩‍🎤👨‍🎤and yet it doesn’t completely dim the entire hall. The sound doesn't bounce off and it was well channelled to the audience. (Love it! ❤️)

Rules and Restroom – No picture 📸, no video 📹, no talking 🗣️ and no food 🍔 when the performance is ongoing. Restrooms 🚻 are located outside about 30m away from the concert hall, they are huge with many stalls and very clean 🫧🧼.

Overall a delightful visitation and I’m looking forward to other events being held there. 😎

Acoustics are pretty decent, but I thought the layout will be better if wider. Also the seats were on the low side and makes it bit comfortable and can't really get a good view of the stage. I've attended better at Esplanade and Victoria.

Purely a concert area. Parking fees is a bit expensive but weekend after 6pm at rate of $5 is still acceptable. Usher is a bit rude as the are reserved seat cover for one seat only they did not in time to mentioned to me so I was being told only VIP can be seated then u should have block the two rolls then. Is so embarrassing…

An enjoyable afternoon concert by Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra and Joy Chorale. Timely concert, going into Christmas.  Suitable choice of music; Tschaikovsky's Symphony No 1 and Christmas medley.

This is a really great hall. The sound is good, just a little bit of echo, not too much. Staff are friendly. There are quite limited parking space so make sure you come early. You can also park nearby and walk to the hall or take a bus or train followed by a short walk. The lighting was perfect and the hall was clean! 5 stars.
