Had such an amazing day here! It took me 4h to hike around the reservoir. The nature I saw along the way was beautiful (butterflies, monkeys, turtles, lizards, dragonflies). The trail starts as a boardwalk and ends as a jungle walk so nice variety. Highly recommend to visit here :)

🌿🌳☘️🌾 Been here many times over the decades to hike and walk at MacRitchie Reservoir, which was built in the 1800s.

● They have the boardwalks, the gravel trails, the sandy pathways and rest stops ( wooden huts). It is interesting to view the flora and fauna here.

🌿✅️ Lots of macaques here, so do be careful that you don't attract them with food. The monkeys can be aggressive.

🌳🌳 There is also the Tree Top Walk which is super interesting. 🌸🌸Been there twice to the tree top walk. It is in the middle of the forest.

Arguably the best walking park in Singapore, this location features two major parallel trails around the reservoir. You can opt for the ‘nature trail,’ which winds through the woods, or the ‘boardwalk trail’ that runs alongside the water, with several points along the way to switch between the two. The total distance around the reservoir is approximately 11-14 km, depending on the trails you choose to explore. We saw monkeys!!! We saw a whole family of them with little babies. We watched them for a while and they didn't care.
