I got the #3 Gan Mian and #5 Rou Wan Tang. This was the largest $15 portion. I liked how the noodles are weighed when you order so there was consistency. In terms of value, this was a good portion. The ingredients were tasty however the noodles were bland. The sauce was a little diluted. The soup and the Rou Wan soup (this was the $10) portion was very tasty and flavorful. Went on a Sunday at 12noon and the wait was approx 45mins.

Standard is consistent throughout the years. You won’t get this taste anywhere else. The mix of vinegar and saltiness is unique and keeps you going at it. The noodles are flavourful and the toppings are generous. Go for the $10 bowl, it should be a sufficient serving size for a satisfying meal without going overboard.

Been eating since 30 years ago. Felt happy when they got the Michelin star. Service is always there. I would say the taste of the noodles has changed over the years. It’s not bad thou still good as always. But there are really quite a lot of good ones nowadays. Perhaps my taste changed over the years too. Would still patronize given the chance.
The only gripe I have is the place. It’s really run down. It deserved a much needed renovations.

Disappointing Experience at Overhyped Michelin Noodle Stall

We've been loyal customers of this Singaporean noodle stall for five years, but unfortunately, our recent visit was a letdown. Despite the long queue of mostly tourists on a hot weekday afternoon, the service was slow, and the heat was unbearable.

We were appalled to detect a foul smell emanating from the tray return area when we arrived, which was particularly concerning given the food handling and preparation happening nearby.
This lack of attention to hygiene and cleanliness raised serious red flags.

The noodles, which were once a highlight, were now undercooked and overpowered by an excessive amount of vinegar. The fish cracker, a crucial component, lacked freshness. The overall taste was stronger than before, leaving us thirsty after finishing the dish.

With prices starting at $8 for the smallest portion and $10 for the regular portion (enough for a filling lunch), we expected better quality and consistency. Sadly, this Michelin-recognized stall has declined significantly in recent years. Perhaps it's time to revisit their standards and reclaim their former glory.

For those who like a lot of vinegar. Tasted salty and only good bites were the crispy fried fish and soft meat balls. The rest of the ingredients and noodle tasted normal. Usually long queues during lunch hours, not worth the wait IMO.
