Pretty blue coffee. For visually pleasing layers of distinct colour hues, ice coffee enjoyed onsite works best.
Only got the Mt Faber coffee. Was so tempted by the various food items. Hope to try some of them one day.

strawberry matcha latte is sooo good! really nice and deep matcha flavour and the strawberry puree is not very sweet too, everything tastes amazing after u mix it for a bit. pls never take this off the menu!!

I ordered Mu Yue Black Tea Latte (Premium Assam Black Tea and Milk) for SGD 6 and it was delicious! The tea is extremely smooth, and the milk compliments it perfectly!

Downside: Aircon isn't strong because it's centralized from the mall.

I have been to this place before a few times. It was a guy with specs who was the barrister. He made fantastic coffee. The coffee beans they have is really nice. Taste of coffee is good.

But this visit today, not only the coffee tasted thin, the staff also had terrible attitude. The spec guy was gone. There were 2 young gals manning the counter with an older female whom I tink is the manager.

I was at the side looking at the menu as it was previously where I had ordered before. I did not realise the cashier had changed to face the front.

I asked a qn and was told by 2 young gals chatting at a corner to come over to the cashier to ask the qn.

I am not buying the drink as yet. I tink as service staff, it would be polite to come over and answer the qn than to rudely ask the customer to head over to the cashier just so you don’t have to walk.

Mind you, the place was empty except for 2 customers sitting and having their drinks. The staff were not doing anything.

Thankfully the older staff came over to speak with me. She might have been the manager perhaps. After answering my qn, she politely advised that the payment machines were at the front therefore I would need to proceed to the front to make my order.

At the cashier, I told the staff that the least she could do was to answer my qn first as I was not placing any orders. And her reply was “what?!”

Such rude people should never be employed in the service line. I’m sure she was very happy just chatting away with her colleague before I rudely interrupted their chat.

The manager was at the side on her laptop. I had stood there for quite awhile before I asked my qn.

Obviously no one was interested in sales or retaining the clients.

Really unfortunate for the boss.

I've been passing by M5 Coffee on my way to the gym at Orchard Central for a couple of weeks. Finally, I decided to grab a coffee here after lunch.

I mistakenly thought this was a takeaway coffee joint, but upon ordering, I realised there's a small seating area behind the order bar counter. While not exactly cosy, it's clean and tranquil (at 2pm, anyway).

If I had known there was a seating area for me to enjoy my coffee, I would have visited much sooner!

The Latte ($6) lives up to its good reputation. Using M501S Espresso Blend (100% Arabica Beans, 50% Brazil & 50% Columbia) ), the flavour supposedly boasts of chocolate, molasses, hazelnut and toast. I definitely love the chocolatey and nutty swirl, which is well balanced and doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste.

Using Meiji milk and a double shot for their 8 oz Latte, the after lunch pick-me-up is a welcome aromatic treat for my senses.

I like the fact this hideout is prominently located along the footpath from Somerset mrt to Orchard Gateway, yet the seating area is quiet and peacefully tucked away in the background. I could almost steal a shuteye here after lunch, except I think the double caffeine shot will probably keep me awake for a bit!

This will probably be one of my favourite coffee joints in Orchard, and a convenient spot for me since my gym workouts are just upstairs.
