I did love this place. They had many cool names for their drinks and the drinks were great. I never like raw egg white but they made a great drink out of it.

The atmosphere was just alright given it was Sunday.

Excellent speakeasy style cocktail bar, with a diverse menu with something for everyone.  You can get the classics, or there are plenty of inventive options incorporating more unique flavor combinations.  My drinks were all very well balanced, and served without fuss - just great cocktails in an elegant, minimalist form.  The Mac and Cheese balls were an excellent snack (add the hot sauce!), and my bartender Adam was fantastic.  The entrance looks like a garage door - just look for the outline of the door on the left side, which has a single light above it.  Definitely worth checking this place out!

I’m not much of. a cocktail drinker but this was a goto place when I had cocktail drinker friends visiting preCovid era.  Somehow they served cocktails that I actually enjoyed. Should have written the review sometime ago but finally here we go.

28 Hong Kong St. was one of the early adopter or speakeasy in Singapore and probably was one of the rare few of high end ones. It was all the raves when they first opened their door around 2017 if I’m not mistaken. It has not changed much since then. It was shinier when it was new but nowadays is cozier with better tasting menu.

The ambiance is just right. There was always music in the background but it was never too loud. Conversation is totally possible without yelling. Nothing shabby but nothing was over the top. The cocktail menu was so attention grabbing that we were planning our next drinks. The food menu was short and sweet. Because everything we had was delicious. The steak was OMG and the Brussels got standing ovation - was the best I had in Singapore. If you love Brussel sprouts, you cannot afford to miss this dish here.

This cocktail bar offers the best cocktail concept I came across. It is truly amazing that we order across the menu from cover to cover and found all the drinks were very balanced. None of them too sweet even for their sweet cocktails categories. They made their cocktails so easy to drink that it was dangerous.

The service though can be much improved. It was not right that the customers having to walk up numerous times to the staff who were chatting behind the counter so we could take a look at the menu or ordering some things. 28HK has never been that kind of bar.

What’s the hype about this place ? Speak easy ? Or the drinks ? Or the vibe ? It was too loud in there to be a speakeasy. The drinks were mid at best. Vibe is just dimmed lights ? The bar shelf was full of all kinds of liquor they prob never use. I didn’t really get the hype. The service was mid. The server came to get the order, left. Came to serve, left. Not very worthy for the amount of per drink.

Went on a Sunday evening with friends; atmosphere was great! Good selection of drinks, so spoilt for choice! The food we ordered were good as well. Service was great too, attentive and helpful. Had a great experience and will surely be back.
