Surprisingly, it wasn’t the steak that made the meal so memorable but rather the side dish and the dessert. Not that the steak wasn’t good.
I had their hanger steak, which had a decent crust and was a bit under done but was perfectly fine to me. I’d rather under than over. It was served with coarse salt and roasted garlic, which is more than you need with good beef.
The Brussels sprouts though, were outstanding! I think they were the best I’ve ever had, so far! Perfectly crispy and tossed in their sauce mix that balanced the bitterness superbly.
The tiramisu was quite a delight as well! Creamy yet airy, with a hint of bitterness that was mitigated by the drizzle of chocolate sauce. It was like an ebb and flow of gentle sweetness and bitterness throughout.
Shout out to the waitress for the recommendations! Her knowledge of the menu, passion and friendliness added to the whole experience!

Steak was good. Great quality. Delicious.

Tiramisu was a disappointment. A little turned off from the dessert because 90% of it was cream.

The rest of the sides were not bad.

Had to request from the waiter several times to refill our service water.

Wasn’t able to reserve the seats inside as it was fully booked but we had the opportunity get an outdoor high table. Wouldn’t recommend high table because the seats were arranged side by side.

Overall, would definitely come back for the steak. But i would reconsider due to its pricing.

steak was undoubtedly one of the BEST STEAKS i’ve had in a really long time. you can really taste the difference between a steak cooked in a regular pan and a charcoal one. the char and crust was so good. it’s absolutely phenomenal. we ordered the set for 2 pax as well as an onglet steak. here’s an in depth review!

appetiser: burratta cheese
so so creamy, melts in your mouth. it is light and not overpowering, so i found myself constantly reaching for more. however it is a bit on the pricey side considering the portion. overall i would give this one 4/5⭐️

steak for 2: i can’t remember the exact cuts, but one was definitely a striploin, and the other i forgot 😭😭. both were wagyu, and the striploin tasted much better, and was a lot more tender. it had a nice beefy aftertaste, and this was probably the crowd favourite because it was a nice balance between tender and flavour. the other steak that came with it, though still very delicious, i found that it lacked that beefy flavour, and wasn’t as tender. but this set was so worth it! i rate this one 5/5⭐️,

onglet: the moment i put this steak in my mouth, it just melted and it tasted so good. i really wish it was bigger, though. it super tender but the taste was a little lacking compared to the striploin. kind of like a fillet mignon. still this was so good!! i rate this one a solid 4.5/5⭐️

brussels spouts: this was my personal favourite side. the caramelisation was done so perfect, though i don’t usually fancy brussels sprouts, i would definitely eat this one again. it’s so umami and everything just felt like a match made in heaven. i rate this side a 5/5⭐️

torched creamed corn: this was the most disappointing side we ordered. it tasted like canned corn soup and the corn was very mushy, and wasn’t very appetising. we would recommend to skip this side. i rate this a 2/5⭐️

tiramisu: their tiramisu was very rich, and decadent. however i found it to be a lot more watery compared to what i was used to. but the taste is definitely there. i rate this a 3.5/5⭐️ as it gets a bit too heavy near the end.

shoestring fries: very very crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside. a very good side that you can’t go wrong with. we got the truffle variant, and it came with a lot of cheese on top! even when the fries were no longer hot, the crispiness still stayed, and we enjoyed this one too! overall a 4/5⭐️. it’s a classic.

however, i think the only downside was the service crew. they were rather unwelcoming, and we felt like they looked down on us because we asked many questions about the steak. especially since we were greeted with a cold smile, and it just feels like that server did not want to be there. but everything else was good.

A serene lunch spot at serene centre. Chill ambience, not too crowded on a weekday. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Food is good and service is welcoming and attentive. I love the brussel sprouts, the texture and flavor is completely to my liking. Flat Iron Steak is tender, would want to try other cuts next time. Beef bowl is not bad but I would have preferred  pearl rice to go with the beef slices instead of the 'normal' rice that was used, felt kinda mismatched. Overall, it was an enjoyable dining experience and I would be back.

Ridiculously GOOD, the place is pretty conveniently located in Serene Centre and they had nice counter seats, where you can watch the chefs at work, creating a whole experience.

We ordered the Ribeye, it was fatty and juicy, with a good balance of meat and fats. It was complemented with salt, and the doneness was to perfection.

The Wagyu Onglet was the bomb, the meat was well balanced and the taste was even better than the Ribeye. Together with the mustard, the taste really blended well and it was absolutely amazing.

Raclette Cheese - cheese was of good quality and a perfect starter for the meal, topped with bacon bits

Truffle Fries - truffle was delicious and fries crispy.

The best part, they overheard us talking about my birthday and they adjusted our tiramisu with the Happy Birthday design, which showed excellent service.

Tiramisu - we licked the plate clean, the quality of the homemade tiramisu was spectacular.
