I feel like this place is a bit overrated for a Michelin guide restaurant. Or maybe because I just came from Japan and had better versions of everything we ordered. We ordered a couple different kaisendon bowls, hitsumabashi, mochi tofu dessert, and sake. Total was 144,000. None of the dishes were exceptional. The eel and sashimi/sushi in Japan is so much better. But at least this is a bit cheaper. Maybe it's unfair to compare this place to Japan. The mochi tofu dessert was weird. You pour some kind of sauce over it. It's not really mochi, but like cheese and tofu. Not sweet. Overall it's still a good meal with good portions and fair pricing. Service was fine. Nice looking restaurant. No wait during dinner on a weekday

Very nice surprise. Waiting time for table only 15-20 minutes. But during the season I recommend to book the table in advance. Food is perfect. Strongly recommend!

Super delicious eel rice and salmon tuna sashimi bowl topped with raw egg. We went at about 845pm so there was absolutely no queue. The downside is that last order is at 9pm so it’s a trade off! The eel was cooked to perfection.. charred but just right, and the eel was a little chewy, which had a nice bite. I preferred this version which is  different from the Japanese style as it’s not as sweet. Sake was nice too! What surprised me was they started washing the kitchen and we could hear (and see) the staff scrubbing the floor, which surprised me that a Michelin star restaurant would allow diners to see it, which spoilt the atmosphere

Their signature rice with grill eel, Hitsumabushi is excellent. Love the smoke flavor, the combination are great, love the Ochazuke.

Love to be back to try their other dishes as well. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Very nice japanese restaurant. Staff is welcomig and speaks English, menu is in English. You can pay with card. Their signature food even has a little leaflet on how to eat it. Given that it's a Michelin restaurant, I was surprised that there was no waiting line (didn't have reservation).
