We visited during a weekend lunchtime and had to queue for about 30 minutes, which wasn’t too bad considering its reputation and location.

The samgyetang itself was good, though not the best I’ve had. The chicken was tender, and the broth was flavorful with a subtle ginseng aroma. It’s a satisfying meal, especially if you’re looking for a place nearby after exploring the palace.

The restaurant is manageable for families with kids, but it’s not particularly kid-friendly. The seating arrangements and crowd make it a bit tricky to navigate with little ones, but it’s doable with some patience.

The best ginseng chicken soup I have ever had in Korea. Hands down the best. I have been here for more than 10 times and the experience and taste have always been great.

The ginseng chicken soup is on the creamier side, and comes lightly salted. Salt and pepper are placed at each table for those who want a stronger flavour.

I recommend to scoop out the soup into the small bowl, and season only the soup in the small bowl. This way you can repeat and enjoy the ginseng chicken soup in different ways. Apart from salt and pepper, you can season it with the sauce from the kimchi and radish, and also the ginseng alcohol.

The restaurant is almost always crowded and you have to wait in line, but it's quick because the service is very fast. My family was lucky to meet a Vietnamese employee, so it was easy to order food. The ginseng chicken porridge here is the best of all the restaurants I've ever eaten at. There's also grilled chicken, but because a bowl has a lot of meat, I was full and didn't have a chance to try the grilled chicken.

Go there with empty stomach as is a MUST for one person to choose one dish. We wanted to share 1 but was forced to order 2 dishes so we ordered a ginseng chicken and a kimchi pancake. The pancake wasn’t here even after we finish the chicken so had to take away.
