우리나라 최초의 사립미술관이며, 1976년에 동숭동에서 시작하여 1992년 현재 이곳 평창동에 현대미술 및 복합문화공간으로 자리를 잡았다고 합니다. 예전에 한번오고, 오랜만에 방문하였는데 생각보다 많이 낡아보였습니다. 오늘 방문은 이용덕의 순간의지속이라는 전시를 보기 위해서인데, 우연히 뉴스정보에서 역상조각이라는 말을 듣고 호기심으로 오게 되었습니다. 일반적인 조각과는 다른 방법으로 어떤 효과가 있을지 궁금증이 생겼는데, 역상조각만의 매력이 있다는걸 확인하는 좋은 전시였습니다. 입장료는 비싸다고 생각했지만 역상조각에 대한 조형세계를 연구하는 학술 심포지엄 책자를 받을수 있어서 기분이 좋았습니다~

Today's visit is to see the exhibition called Persistence of the Moment by Lee Yong-deok, but I came out of curiosity after accidentally hearing about inverse sculpture in a news article. I was curious about what effect it would have using a method different from regular sculpture, and it was a good exhibition that confirmed that inverted sculpture has its own charm. I thought the admission fee was expensive, but I felt good because I was able to receive a booklet for an academic symposium studying the formative world of inverted sculpture.
