I stayed for 3 nights — while the hotel offered exceptional service and a great location, the rooms were not well maintained. My bathroom kept flooding, and water was spilling into the room.

The AC wasn’t working, and when I flagged it, staff mentioned it was due to the season. Still, the room was uncomfortably hot at 27–28°C. Opening the window wasn’t a good option either due to noise from the busy street below.

It is listed as a 5 star hotel. We came across follow
1. Our friend came to pick us up. He greeted the staff and went to use the restroom. The staff said the car could be parked for 10 minutes, but when he came back, the car was gone. He was then forced to pay a valet parking fee of 10,000 won. It was a terrible experience.

2. We asked the staff to help us order delivery jajangmyeon. When we went to pick it up, they specifically told us not to drop it on the carpet, which made us feel wrongly judged and disrespected.

3. The customer service staff did not speak English well or lacked professionalism. Many of our questions went unanswered. For example, when we asked about the lunch buffet hours, they gave us the breakfast hours. Even after we repeatedly emphasized “lunch,” they finally confirmed that the hotel didn’t offer lunch — but we had clearly had a lunch buffet at the restaurant.

4. There were also many problems with the room. The drawer cabinets had a strong paint smell, rooms facing the street were very noisy at night, the hot water could easily cause burns (you must turn on the cold water first), and housekeeping was done very late in the day (around 4 PM).wing problem:

The hotel exceeded my expectations! Everything is impeccably clean, and all amenities are replaced promptly. The staff responds quickly and efficiently to any request. The spa is also excellent—clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you might need. For the fitness center, all you need is your own shoes; everything else is provided. However, it’s a bit disappointing that the clothing sizes start only from M, with no smaller options. For the pool, you’ll need a swimsuit and a swim cap. The breakfast selection is wide and caters to various tastes—truly impressive!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Imperial Palace Hotel for three months, and my experience was absolutely fantastic. The staff went above and beyond to meet my every request with impressive efficiency, making my stay truly comfortable and memorable.

A special thanks to the manager, Sowon, whose exceptional professionalism and attention to detail stood out. Her dedication ensured that every aspect of my stay exceeded expectations.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking excellent service, luxurious accommodations, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

Comfy and tidy suite.
Nice service and helpful staff.
The heat was a bit too warm, but fortunately, the windows could be slightly opened to let in some fresh, cool air.
Overall, a very nice experience. I would definitely come again if traveling to Seoul.
