한적한 평창동 초입에 위치한 갤러리2를 처음 방문했는데 공간이 아주 아름다웠다. 전시 중인 권세진 작가의 그림은 아름다운 공간과 잘 어울렸다. 작가님은 최근 찍은 사진 베이스로 그림을 그리셨지만 그림은 90년대 초반의 감성 - 아직 아날로그가 지배했던 그 시대 -이 고스란히 느껴졌다. 오래된 비디오테이프를 브라운관 통해 볼때 느껴지는 그 감성이랄까. 그 느낌을 살리기 위해서 작가님은 CMYK 색상만 사용하셨나보다. 마음에 들었던 작품들은 이미 다 예약이 완료되어서 다음 전시를 기대해봐야겠다. 작가님 화이팅!

It was my first time visiting Gallery 2, located at the quiet entrance to Pyeongchang-dong, and the space was very beautiful. Artist Kwon Se-jin's paintings on display went well with the beautiful space. Although the artist drew the picture based on a recently taken photo, the picture still had the sensibility of the early 90s - a time when analog technology still dominated. It's like the feeling you get when watching an old video tape through a cathode ray tube. To bring out that feeling, the author seems to have used only CMYK colors. All of the works I liked have already been reserved, so I have to look forward to the next exhibition. Fighting, author!
