I had the pleasure of attending the “Unknown by The Art Fair” held at The Shilla Hotel in Seoul from March 21 to 23, 2025. The event took place on the 11th and 12th floors of the hotel, offering an elegant and intimate setting for art appreciation.

With 68 galleries participating and showcasing the works of over 500 artists, the fair presented a diverse and vibrant collection of more than 3,000 artworks. From emerging talents to more established names, the range of styles and mediums on display was truly impressive. Each gallery space was thoughtfully curated, allowing visitors to engage deeply with the stories and concepts behind the works.

As a VIP guest, I had the opportunity to enjoy the art in a relaxed and spacious atmosphere. It was a great chance to discover fresh perspectives and connect with the current pulse of the contemporary art scene in Korea and beyond.

The hotel itself is very nice. But the staffs make it nicer with very attentive and personalized service. They can also remember the name of guest, this is a plus to the high standard. J. H. Lee from the breakfast restaurant is very attentive and helpful. He saw my personalized vitamins pack and prepare the water that I don’t have to ask for. 👍 🌟

Really enjoyed every bit of our stay. Stunning lobby, great customer service with English speaking staff, superb furnishing in the rooms and common areas. It's conveniently located and super accessible to myeongdong, seongsu etc. There're shuttle buses and service cars that transport guests to the shilla duty free, subway station & to town. We had an early flight and the team did their best for us to check in early. While waiting for the room, we were recommended to visit a cafe (Haus cafe) situated at the namsan park which is right next to the hotel. it turns out to be one of the best cafes in our trip. Love it and will be back for sure

Classic 5 star hotel with warm and friendly staff, all very eager to assist. Situated near the Namsan Seoul Tower and next to gentle green hills, it offers beautiful views of the city and has very convenient access to the city. Highly recommended for spending a few days in Seoul 🤩🤩😍

A stunning hotel, great staff, useful information provided, well connected with the city.

But there are inconveniences: the breakfast is finishing early, and the restaurant is not open for lunch at that time. The rooftop restaurants were closed at the same time, so I found myself without options to eat other than at the bar. It is not the best setting for a breakfast meal, considering this hotel positions itself as 5 star.

The cocktail quality at the bar is very average. They changed it once on my polite feedback, but as we discovered, they didn't use original ingredients for negroni, so they couldn't make it right no matter how much they tried.

No connecting rooms, no large rooms suitable for families with kids, no kids facilities.

Overall, it looks like a hotel to come for a business meeting, to hold a wedding, or stay for 1 or 2 nights on holiday as a solo or a couple.
