I recently had a wonderful stay at the Fairfield. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, everyone was kind and helpful, and the hotel is conveniently located near plenty of food, transit, shopping and entertainment options.

The room temperature was set to 25.5 C (or roughly 78F) and centrally controlled. Unlike most thermostats, there was no way to hack this one and regain individual control. I called the front desk several times and begged for air conditioning. They were able to accommodate me, but I know I annoyed several people in the process. One front desk associate told me there was risk of the system breaking if they continuously changed the setting for one room. They were eventually able to keep the room at a more comfortable 23 C.

I only mention this because as lovely as the property is, people who sleep hot may be better accommodated elsewhere. The employees were all very kind and helpful, and I appreciated them going out of their way to accommodate me.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I look forward to returning someday.

They confirmed the upgrade to Family room and then suddenly asked us to cancel our reservation because we booked very early for the low cost rate so they want to sell our room to other guest who would book last minute. We are Titanium elite guest and haven't been treated like this before by Marriott property. They told me Nightly Upgrade Award is not applicable here so don't apply it again. If this is true, they should disable this feature on Marriott website/app.

Pluses: affordable, the area is close to many restaurants and stores, close to metro.
Minuses: rooms are small, lack of thermostat control, noisy(outside mostly).
The hotel is very standard, didn’t feel much of a welcoming hospitality.

excellent customer service and front desk. also very good room cleaning for everyday. I stayed here for 8 nights and had no issues. Great location and kind employee makes me feel like home. Definitely will be back.

This hotel was one of the WORST I have every stayed at. The rooms are very tiny, to the point where you don't have any space to open a regular 24" luggage. You don't get a "bathroom" door, as soon as you walk in the shower booth and sink is there to the side with a sliding door(?) that kind of speprates the bathroom space from the bed. To use the toilet you can open the shower door all the way to have very minimal privacy. Ventilation wasn't that great. I stayed during the coldest time of the year and oh boy was it a bad idea. I didn't even know central heating/ac was a thing for hotels. I had to call every 1-2hours to ask the front desk to turn the heat on since the room gets extremely cold due to the cold air that seeps through the window that takes up a whole wall. You have a thermostat in the room which is useless. The front desk staff are very nice and professional to the point where I felt sorry for them getting a million phone calls from rooms saying it's cold all day/night long. Hotel is at a great location to get pretty much anywhere in seoul and fast track trains to other parts of Korea. I would say it's a decent hotel if you are traveling alone and visiting Korea when the weather is very nice but if you are not then I recommend you avoid this hotel.
