Come for the ambiance, not for the food.

The food was forgettable, except for the dish with the white truffle, and it's not because of the white truffle. I just don't remember the name of the vegetable. That dish was really unique and interesting.

The food preparation on the teppanyaki was lackluster. The chef barely spoke and few courses were actually prepared on the teppanyaki. The chef just quietly cooked in the background, which made me wonder what was even the point of having the food cooked in front of us.

The views and decor are impressive. I visited in the winter so it was already dark by the time I was seated, but I imagine the views would be 10x better in the summer around sunset.

Excellent food & service. A bit more expensive than its worth but definitely a delightful meal if u don’t mind spending

Perfect dining experience here. The way Ukai cooked and served their meals is absolutely fantastic. Not only maximize the original charm of fine ingredients, but also add huge creativity within every course.

The service is certainly thoughtfully with knowledgeable staffs. Strongly recommend their sake pairing. Totally outstanding. The only flaw is the dining tempo was very slightly quicker than I expected. A bit slower between meals will be even more perfect.

Such a BEAUTIFUL Restaurant! I brought my family to UKAI Kappou (Japanese cuisine) to celebrate. Great food and friendly service!
Must consider one of the Taipei bucket list restaurants to visit!
My family and I truly enjoyed the whole experience!

We went there for the lunch dinning experience and were absolutly amazed.  the atmosphere and the view which were both incredibly stunning. The quality of the food was something to behold everything was exquisite. But for me the highlight was the service. Our chef くばるしーさん who prepared each dish with incredible detail and skill did not only make sure that the food was mothwatering but also actively engaged in converaation with us and gave us a lot of details about each ingredient and dish which added an aditional layer to our enjoyment of the food.

The other staff also did an incredible job making sure that we were comfortable and explained every option available to us.
If ever you find yourself in taipei this is a must visit.
