I stayed at the W Hotel in Taipei for three nights. The space was large and service was wonderful.

Rooms were good. We got a Taipei 101 view room so we were on the 28th floor and were able to see Taipei 101 right in front of us everyday.

There is also a breakfast buffet in the morning. The food itself was not the best especially when compared to other luxury hotel breakfast buffets in Taiwan. However, they have lots of comfortable seating available.

The non breakfast food we ordered from  room service was much better. I really liked their Beef Noodle Soup.

We also tried the bar area on the 31st floor and it was comfortable. We got a whole small room for our group of three.

All in all, a nice, conveniently located hotel option in the city.

W hotel is well located on top of City Hall MRT station and it is behind the City Hall bus station. It makes it very easy to get to the hotel from the airport or vice versa. It's always minutes away walking to many restaurants or major shopping area. Taipei 101 is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Other than the location, W hotel has very clean and spacious room. Staff are very courteous and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and I recommend it to others who visit the area!

I had a pleasant stay here even some bad experiences happened. The location is convenient nearby everything I need. Room is clean,quiet and comfortable.  The pool and WOObar is closed during my stay.  Staffs are friendly.
Turn down services only for the first night stay.
I texted the hotel that the side bed phone is not working, they did not follow up.
Breakfast area is not likely compatible with solo traveller. I have to sit alone in 4-6seats table, the staffs clean up my table all the time even my drink is still full in glass. Im worrying about the Food waste.
Since Woobar is closed, main lobby bar running with limited drinks. I were there for some beer but all local draft beer was out of services.
I made a booking separately adding a package on my 2nd night that includes a lucky box and a wine.  Which they usually set up in a room upon my arrival. I have to follow up the box by myself during a late night (I came back from the concert) and it end up the hotel staff tell me that my reservation is not apply for a package. They even recommend me to stay somewhere else and comeback in order to apply my package. Here is the worst experience from the hotel. Which I consider a lot for my next stay.

Definitely a well deserved 5 stars hotel.
All staffs are friendly and super helpful.
They have spa facility for guests (jacuzzi, steam bath and sauna) on the 12th floor.

The staff, James who stationed at the hotel entrance is so kind and helpful. As last week due to typhoon season, it was raining all day with strong wind. I am so scared to walk alone as it is my first time visiting and I have never experience so strong wind so he walked with me to my office building.

If there is only one thing to improve on. Hope hotel can provide a better quality toothbrush.

Nevertheless, I will be back again.

We visited Taiwan twice in 2024--both time we stayed at the W.  First time in February for 6 nights and the second time 4 nights (after their renovation). We loved our first stay so much therefore we chose to stay at the same place nine months after.
It is the most expensive hotel in the city of Taipei but the money was worth spent.  When we stayed the second time, it felt like home.  My family and I vowed to stay at the W in our future visit.  It has become our home away from home.

I love how the hotel smells so fresh and pleasant.  The bedding is soft and comfortable.  Rooms are always spotless.  The services were superb.  The hotel location couldn't be better, it is close to everything.
