Our first meal in Taipei. We heard that the dumplings were just as good as Din Tai Fung but cheaper so had to check it out.
We ordered a whole bunch of food. All of them were good but not great. The soup dumplings were ok. I’ve had better. The skin wasn’t silky and the soup and beef ratio was off.
My favourite was the shrimp dumplings. The sauce station had a good selection. They clear stuff out as you finish it. Not a place to chi chat. Eat and go but not pushy type of go. They were pleasant so I didn’t feel rushed.
Meal costed 1650 NTD. Expensive for a bunch of appetizers. There was a huge lineup after we left so come early.

The restaurant location is easily accessible as it is just behind the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.
This is my second visit after COVID.
Have arrived around lunch time and waiting time is reasonable on a Monday afternoon.
Must try food : steamed dumplings, drunken chicken, potstickers, cold side dishes- braised beancurd, pickled cucumbers, ikan boils with beancurd and green chilli, pig ears. For dessert, the red bean pancake can give it a miss as the pastry is too thick.

Very tasty! Love their Xiao Long Bao, fried dumplings, clams with melons, radish cakes and red bean balls wrapped with mochi (sticky rice balls) in particular! A very popular spot! Expect some wait times but it’s completely worth it!

I believe this is still the best xiaolongbao I have ever tasted in my life. The flavor of the xiaolongbao here is beyond words, truly exceptional and unlike anything I have ever experienced before. I have already visited this place twice on my own, and I am eager to go back again. Every bite of the dumplings is filled with rich, flavorful broth and perfectly balanced fillings. If you're a fan of xiaolongbao, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and delicious xiaolongbao.

Their steamed food was ok, wouldn’t say it’s the best but just okay. Their crab roe dumpling didn’t have much crab roe in it, and their service isn’t very great. We were given a table that was very low and had squatting seats. We had a child with so asked to have a normal higher table to make things easier. And they were reluctant at first to let us swap. Even though there were plenty of open tables around.
