Tourist here. My party of four got reservations here and we were extremely unimpressed. I don’t think our food or service was good because we looked like tourist suckers. The price point is absurd for the beef short rib noodles. Absolutely ridiculous. And they force a service charge on you to top it off. The food was mediocre and probably one of my worst meals in Taipei. This location boasts that it used to be Michelin, but I fail to see that level of quality in the food, service, and overall experience of the restaurant. I regret coming here and certainly feel robbed. $1,280 for a generic bowl of beef short rib soup. Wow highway robbery. I recommend against going here and feel like I’ve been cheated.

Like their signature braised platter. I had the prime beef tendon and shank noodle in tomato soup which is pretty nice. Just need to make sure if you walk in, it’ll take at least 1-1.5 hours waiting.

Very delicious beef soup and is not heavily flavoured, have three options of noodles to choose from to go with the beef soup;

It’d seems like you’d have a good chance to book a table by asking the staff of the hotel that you’re staying to do a favour to call for you.

Beef noodles are overall average, nothing memorable. The noodles were on the soft side(even when I informed the waiter for less cooking time on the noodles), the beef was soft but still required some pull in order to break apart, the broth was light and boring.

I also ordered the bitter melon side dish which was below average.
The best part would probably be the fried pork ribs (炸排骨） which was thick and juicy.

For this price there are plenty of other beef noodle places to choose from. (I suggest for this style of beef noodle and restaurant comfort just go visit DingTaiFung)
This place is 100 percent overhyped. Please don’t get fooled by the online articles or celebrity visits.

My friend took me here for the Michelin recommended beef noodle soup. We both chose the flat noodle.  The meal served with a lot of meat that were so tender and delicious. The beef broth was light and not oily, I like it so much I finished it all. They will give free broth re-fill if you want more. It really worth the money.
