The selection of beer is impressive. All German beer from the cute bottles to special editions. They also have a couple selection on tap. It is a quaint little place and nice cozy setting. The guy there was really cool and laid back. Price is a bit high but kind of expected since they are imported and limited. If you like to explore the German beer world in Taipei, this is a good spot to check out.

This is a neat little bar within walking distance of the Zhongshan MRT. We got there a few minutes after they opened at 4 p.m., so we had the place all to ourselves. I was glad because there's not a lot of seating inside. We wanted to try the IPA and hefeweizen on tap. We weren't able to because the kegs hadn't come in as it was just after the lunar new year. The bartender was super friendly and helpful though and pointed out that the beers were also available in bottles so that's what we went with. I can imagine the place probably gets super lively at night, but it was a nice and relaxing for resting our feet in the late afternoon.

I was here in Taiwan with my wife. The first time I've been out of the country since 1996. We have been to many places in Taiwan, but one place we came across in our wanderings was Beer Ammo (October 29, 2017). Beer Ammo is not the cheapest place to find a beer, but they have brands and types I never heard of. Come to think of it, they didn't have many bottles that I was familiar with. But, with the help of Uno, our tour guide at Beer Ammo. He guided us to a good draft and a decent bottle too! Which ones? I don't remember, but they were good. Service was A+. Uno was friendly, helpful, spoke English very well, which was good for me! Environment was very inviting and that catchy name caught both my attention and my wife's too. While we were speeding along in a bus! When we walked in, we were in awe. Bottles and bottles of beer from the floor to the ceiling. AWESOME! ---------------- Bottom Line It's a 13 hour flight from SFO to TPE but if you do find yourself wanting a different type of beer from the norm, load up at Beer Ammo. Quite Good selection Friendly And yes, when I'm in Taiwan again, I will be going back!

A must visit if you're in Taipei and you are craving a beer other than the Taiwan Beer! Beer Ammo claims to have more than 300 craft beers and although I didn't count to verify that statement they indeed have a huge selection!FYI - most of the beers I saw came from Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany and there were a few local ones. We tried the chocolate quad (11% ABV) and hoppy triple (11% ABV) and they were both delicious and strong enough for a good buzz. I'd recommend buying your beer to go (they have cold brews in a fridge) as it's 15% off the retail price, then heading to the Ningxia Night Market which is a block away! What I also enjoyed about this venue was that they were playing a great R&B playlist - great vibes to drink beer to.

Not a bad stop. Their draft taps were apparently broken the day I went. There were quite a few bottles, lots of Belgian beers and some Taiwanese beers. The girl serving the beers was pretty unprofessional, clipping her nails and giving her boyfriend a massage at the counter, not sure if this is normal in Taiwan but whatever.

This is one of the many cool craft beer places in Taipei. It was a little crammed inside with limited seating so a big part of our group ended up standing (get there early for seating) but otherwise it was a great experience. I believe you're also allowed to bring in food from other places, as long as it's not super smelly. As far as beverages, my personal favorite was the Lychee beer, great after a long HOT day. Glad we were able to check this place out.
