One of the most memorable meals I've had in Taiwan. The top entry on my must-visit-on-every-trip-to-Taiwan list. Absolutely worth the wait.

The smoked goose is exceptional - juicy and flavorful. The 1 person's portion was enough for me and my dad to share. Highly recommend the goose fat chili sauce to go with it.

We also ordered a few other dishes, which were all done surprisingly well.

Visited the restaurant for lunch but the wait was just too long so I went across the street for take-out.  Everything on the menu looked very delicious and huge portion. . Although I ordered everything in half portion there’s still leftover.
The smoked goose meat was very tasty and the smokiness in the meat was very well balanced; stewed duck blood was tender without any off-putting taste. Spicy (ma-la) stinky tofu was wonderful plump and juicy with just enough spice and heat.  Stir-fried Goose intestines with pickled mustard green was average in comparison to the other dishes ordered.
I would definitely return to try some more items on their menu.

I visited A Cheng Goose during my trip to Taipei, and it was definitely worth the visit. When I got there, there was a bit of a wait, but it wasn't too long. The standout dishes for me were the goose sausages and rice with goose oil—both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and satisfying, and I really enjoyed the unique taste of the goose. If you find yourself in Taipei, this spot is definitely a must-try for goose lovers!

You got to try this Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. Definitely must order their signature smoked goose meat. I thought Hong Kong roast goose was good, but smoked goose is really on a next level. Other must try dishes: 地瓜菜, 烫杏鲍菇 and 鹅油拌饭. My best meal in Taipei.

The smoked goose was simply phenomenal—so tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The richness of the smoky flavor paired beautifully with the simplicity of the sides, especially the goose oil rice, which was deliciously fragrant. Every bite left me wanting more!

The restaurant’s casual, no-frills atmosphere allows the food to really shine, and the service was quick and efficient. I also appreciated the self-serve sauce station, where I found the perfect accompaniments for my meal. I can’t wait to come back again before I leave Taipei!
