This Michelin Bib Gourmand stall sells fried taro cakes and Tofu wedges. A bag of 5 pieces (you can mix) cost 20 bahts.

As there is only take away, I bought a bag to taste back at hotel. Incredible is how I felt. And this is coming from a person who doesn’t like taro. The taro cake was crispy on the outside and crunchy on the inside, mostly from the taro which evidently has been chosen well cause it was not the powdery type. Tofu was okay but both tasted better with the special sauce provided which had ground peanuts and chopped cilantro. Sauce by itself is sweet and a little spicy.

An unimposing stall in the middle of the road. But given the price and the taste, certainly worthy of their Michelin Bib Gourmand! Strongly recommend to try.

Dropped by this place after khaosoi-i for some Michelin guide small bites ~ Fried TARO. The fried tofu is sold out, so we only tried TARO. Its flour with some small yam cubes inside. Must dip the sauce for better taste. Freshly fried cos alot ppl buying..

I’ve tried to come here between noon and 3pm on three different occasions, weekday and weekend, over about a week, and they have never been open. They have a sign posted saying ‘closed for one day’, but it’s obviously been much longer. Please either change your hours in google or your sign to reflect the current schedule.
