We had a Seaside 'Pool Paradise' Suite and it was good: spacious, large comfortable bed, excellent shower and had a great view (see photo attached - 1st floor, room 426). We ate regularly in the Beach Restaurant and Main Restaurant. The food was fine (not special). A regular annoyance was booking a specific table and then not getting it (5 times unsuccessful & only 1 time successful - what can be so hard about that?). Toiletries in the room were low quality. Breakfast was always busy (full hotel). Very good place if you have children. Special thanks to Ivy in the restaurant - she was great.

My stay with my wife at Devasom Khao Lak Beach Resort & Villas was simply amazing. The hotel, the rooms, and the staff – everything was absolutely perfect. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel every day, and the food was always excellent.

For aperitifs, we enjoyed walking along the beach, where there are some beautiful beach bars nearby. But back to the hotel: The staff is exceptionally friendly, and everyone speaks very good English. You feel completely comfortable and well cared for.

I especially recommend the hotel’s spa. The massage was the best I have ever experienced – a true highlight!

I'll miss this place! Such a magnificent hotel! It's actually 5 stars, unlike other hotels that are rated higher than they should be.
Staff are SUPER friendly unlike anything I've seen in Thailand.
Rooms are enormous, bed too, we had nice view to the ocean and a lot of space.
Breakfast has many varieties, it's really good. I would have liked a little change from day to day, though.
We had some nice activities like sunset on the beach with drinks, a fire show, themed dinners, etc.
It's in nature so there are many cute and beautiful animals such as special birds, tiny cute lizards, squirrels.
We also did cooking class, everything we made was delicious although I don't think it's worth the price, sorry.
The pool- is really nice and close to the beach. A walking distance to some massage on the beach stalls. I think that you do need to mark the stairs in the pool! I hit my foot in them too many times because they are not marked.
Important thing to notice is that there's a kind of swamp next to the hotel, which means there are TONS of mosquitoes!! Horrible.
Some last things- water pressure in shower is a bit low to my taste. And our sheets had stains on them :(
Plus we paid a lot of money for the hotel, I would think some of the dinners/activities would be included or a discount.

But everything else was amazing and I fully recommend staying here!

Winderful hotel Top 5star . Lovely rooms of different styles including beachfront villas . Exceptional pool bar and 2 Michelin restaurants. Excellent Thai food much better than local restaurants. Generally the staff at all levels are super friendly and helpful .reception staff really go out of their way to help with any help you need . The Estate is vast like living in a beachside jungle . Nice gym. Competent spa . Would recommend if you want peace and quiet with vast empty beaches . Great place to stay . Only issue is that it is 15 minutes by free shuttle to Kai Lak town . But plenty of decent food opportunities there plus local night market 4 nights a week .

Stayed 2 weeks in February 2025 and it was perfect for a relaxing holiday for myself and my wife. On a long, clean, sandy beach with nearby beach restaurants. Great for couples but not much going on for kids other than 2 lovely pools and safe sea.
