This hotel serves old school opulence. Location is convenient but at the same time not so great, depending on your needs. It’s 5min walk to the super popular Icon Siam, bit of a tourist trap but has everything you want in a typical Thai mall. Hotel is surrounded by massage parlors as well. So it’s great after shopping. However I found myself having to take the ferry (which was really cool and fun by the way) and then take the BTS to get to places like Siam paragon and the likes, which makes the traveling time quite long. The room was comfortable with an amazing view of the river. Concierge were really helpful with reservations to massage parlors and restaurants.

The Peninsula Bangkok is a fairly large hotel without ever feeling crowded. It has an impressive driveway, a beautiful lobby and spacious rooms with comfortable beds and great river views. I also love having breakfast here, sitting by the river and enjoying the quality selection. Many thanks to the staff and especially to Mimi who always makes me feel like an old friend while remaining very professional. In general, the staff is what makes this hotel so special. As a guest you always feel that everyone is happy to see you. And it feels so genuine. I could go on and on about all the positive things the Peninsula has to offer. Just go and experience it for yourself, I highly recommend it.

Great experience staying here for first three days of our honeymoon. Check in was well organized and airport transfers made transportation easier. Room was ‘90s style with great size with two zones of air conditioning and river views. Thai massage was excellent in the spacious spa. Breakfast buffet was fantastic with plenty of hot plates and pastries, made to order coffee and smoothies, everything you can want and more. You can take a free Peninsula boat across the river to have a drink at the Mandarin or shop at the Icon mall.

All other hotels will be ruined now after our stay here. What a truly phenomenal experience. The hotel and rooms are spacious, and GORGEOUS. You are also right on the river and could spend a day just sitting in the beautiful lobby, pool or restaurant watching the boats go by. On top of that, the jewel of this hotel is it's staff. Never have I felt so cared for while staying in a hotel. Everyone who works here is beyond kind, accommodating, and has an intense eye for detail. Definitely worth every penny, you will be very happy if you stay here.
