Bangkok Kunsthalle is a newly opened art exhibition center located in Bangkok Chinatown. The center has different exhibitions from time to time. Their main attraction at the time we went was a calligraphy exhibit.

Admission was free when we last went here. It’s great place to discover art. My only gripe is that there should be more exhibitions at the Kunsthalle.

I had a memorable visit at this space yesterday. The contrasting experiences were interesting to say the least: being immersed in a dimly-lit chamber flooded with cool mist and warm hues, that made it feel subterranean like an abandoned subway station despite it being upstairs, and then spending an hour or so in a brightly-lit Wonderland-tea-party-esque setting wherein visitors can cobble together shattered ceramic into fragile objects held together by tape and string. I'll be keeping an eye on the Kunsthalle's future exhibits for the foreseeable future.

Located on Maitri Chit Road, Bangkok, this place was a large scale printing house, especially produced Thai text books for all school grades. This building caught fire in 2001 and refurbished to be a contemporary art space in 2024 by tycoon Korean owner.

Got to know about Bangkok Kunsthalle because of the current exhibition, a very immersive free exhibition titled "Nostalgic for Unity". Definitely a must visit exhibition if you are in Bangkok.
Love the use of this old building to create a very experiential atmosphere (and it has a very strong air condition).
Do visit this on a weekday when it is less crowded and there is a "No cameras" house rule on every Wednesday, for visitors to truly experience this exhibition.
