Food was excellent.
Had a late reservation and missed outnom the beef cheek which always disappointing but the other options were great. King fish curry, Wagu skewers, the beef salad (which is quite salty) all very good. The crab omelet was to die for!!
I would definitely visit again - with an earlier reservation.
Probably not the best first date location as, though I enjoyed the ambience, it isn't quiet and the seating is tight - not exactly private.
This isn't a complaint.

If you are celebrating a special one’s birthday here, please give this restaurant a miss. Booked one month in advance and specially indicated it was a birthday celebration. The entire night came and gone, with no candle being stuck onto anything, despite us ordering desserts.
Service staff did not mention anything as well.

Food wise, some were a hit, some a miss. The best was the wagyu beef skewer. Soft, tender, and perfectly grilled. Sour mango salad was good as well. The duck curry tasted overly sweet, like an Indian version rather than Thai.

The pineapple tart dessert was the most pathetic. It’s the first time I have seen a tart listed as a tart on a dessert menu, and only a tiny half was served. Might as well have called it a half tart.

Again, come for a casual meal with no expectations and you won’t be disappointed.

Read a lot of positive things about this place online and saw it on the Michelin recommendations so decided to check it out. We called to ask if we could arrive about 1.5 hours later than our reservation and they told us on the phone that they can only hold the table for an extra 30 minutes so we agreed. When we arrived rhe place was half empty so not sure why they couldn’t do better. As for the food, the meat in some dishes was rubbery and the flavor was nothing extraordinary. As for the service & vibe, they were honestly below mediocre and not that great. Totally overrated spot and will definitely not be back.

Charmgang is constantly found among the best restaurants in Bangkok. Which automatically means it’s one of the best restaurants in Asia! This pearl seems to be a popular choice among other chefs in the city. For a reason. The food is fantastic! Every dish we had was amazing. But the smoked king fish stood out. This dish alone is worth coming! It’s a taste explosion that you should not miss.

We also had the (super) crispy pork and shrimp. For dessert we went with the Thai classic: mango sticky rice. And I have to say: this version blew my mind! I’m not a huge mango sticky rice fan. I like it. But usually it’s too much as a dessert. But here you find a great update to the classic.

If you think you have to order a lot because a fine dining place always serves small portions you will roll out the place. The portions are very generous. So order one dish per person and you are fine.

The interior is super nice. Very modern, cosy and fun. Service is awesome.
