Lovely rooms with no issues, attentive staff that will be happy to sort out travel or anything else for you. Free drinks in your room, and gorgeous building! Breakfast was okay, a mix of Thai and western food, but lots of choice. Great value for money and fantastic location in heart of Chinatown.

Staff were very friendly. The spa was wonderful (thanks Tina and Toy!). The bar downstairs has live music every evening, which we enjoyed after a long day of sightseeing.

Location is in center of Chinatown--which can be convenient for sightseeing. Be prepared for traffic (human and car) to be very bad.

Breakfast is so-so. I'd say to skip it, and eat at nearby food stalls/restaurants.

Rooms were the major reason for star deduction: Not what you imagine for 4-star hotel. Dusty, smelly. Can see the handprints of previous guests on bathroom mirrors. AC takes a long time to cool down the room.

Overall, for the price, this was a bargain and may meet many other travelers' needs.

We stayed here for 3 nights when we first arrived in Bangkok.  It is located about 30 minutes from the airport in the middle of the Nana Plaza area - which can be quite packed.
The hotel felt like a calm oasis in the middle of a bustling and confusing world.  Their security and staff were polite and patient with our requests and constant messing up of basic Thai phrases.  Toffee was one of the nicest and friendliest people we met.
Our room was very comfortable and well appointed.  We had no complaints whatsoever.
Overall a great hotel in the middle of bustling Bangkok.  We would definitely return!

Only stayed two nights but they were unforgettable. The service was beyond excellent! The room was very spacious. The decor was beautiful. I’m not sure when I’ll be back to Thailand but Shanghai Mansion will be one of my stays 100%.
